Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

  • After a couple of years of being used to make the new movie "TOP GUN-2" this F-18 E  has just arrived @ our facility in Jacksonville Fl. for rework, fresh paint and being returned to the active fleet.

Didn’t get a chance to see the northern lights last night, started to get hazy after dark, I stayed up for a while and saw a couple minuscule flashes, but nothing worth getting a pic. Did have a pretty nice sunset though.

Daughter won district uil academic competition yesterday. She’s the one holding the plaque. Sorry got crappy pic. Pretty proud of her. She’s 12th out of 650ish in her class. She plans to go to University of Texas because it has the best English program in the state and the 17th best law school in the country.
But since she was little bitty she’s said she wants to go to Harvard. She doesn’t know now if she wants to apply to Harvard but she randomly got this letter the other day…

Riggs first time in the boat while I was rigging up. A bit of a spaz to be expected... might consider taking him out on a solo trip this spring.

Do it! My dog is a spaz but does very good in the boat. He’s also my your fishing to close to me alarm.

Nope. Mutt, but we dunno the specifics since he ate his DNA test before we could send it off.

I think he's hiding something.

At some point during the night, almost every night for the past week, something has been raiding my bird feeder in the front yard.  I finally caught the guilty party last night before dark from my front bay window.

Corn fed venison!

Was picking up my buddy to fish one morning. It was about 5am when I pulled up to his house and this is what I saw.

Just a miserable day here today. Wind is howling, blowing snow sideways and it’s right around the freezing mark, but a quick walk out to our greenhouse made things feel a bit better. Got a whole feed of fresh peas for dinner tonight, and radishes are ready to start picking!

New truck day.

3shfY7H.jpg

Only way to get all my demands was to buy a fleet truck.

But I love the rubber floors I can hose-out after a fishing trip.

When I parked at the greenway summit trailhead for a bike ride, a car pulled in beside me while I was gearing up.  Their dog hopped out of their car, and hopped right into my truck.

My old red, truck, btw, was done at 250,380 mi - transmission was slipping 3rd.  It made 20 mi to the dealer on the back road in 2nd gear, to be worth "$1000 if you can drive it in."  When I left, my dealer said, "See you again in 17 years."

Saw this pretty corn snake today. He was real aggressive and shaking his tail like a rattler…He was around 4 feet , which is the biggest one I’ve seen…

Exactly how my dad is, buys a work truck bare bones and keeps them for 20 or so years. Rinse and repeat.
