I took the picture before I got in there. Trust me, you wouldn’t want to see me in the shower washing a dog. I hope not anyways.

Different strokes...

You’re supposed to take the photo after you weedeat around the well………

just kidding man looks great!

Actually that’s a ring of thyme growing around it. If I cut that down I’d be in the doghouse for a day or two?

Got a start on my wife’s Mother’s Day gift this afternoon. Since we signed the papers for this property two years ago, her and the kid have been taking about getting chickens. I finally got around to starting the coop build today. I’m attaching it to the end wall of our greenhouse, that way we can use the greenhouse heat in the winter to keep “ the ladies” warm, and we can also just open one of the adjoining windows to toss any scraps of lettuce and veggies we pick to give them some treats. Won’t hurt to have some fresh eggs again, I haven’t had chickens since I was a kid living on my parents farm.

Someone swung by to say hello. Hank yelled at him but he wasn’t intimidated by him. Early bird gets the suet cake.

He's my boy. Sleeps on the floor at my side every night and chills on the couch next to me if I'm home watching tv. I've owned numerous dogs and they haven't been as dedicated as him. He is riveted to my side. His sibling, a female calico, wants nothing to do with either one of us unless it's on her terms. She came for a photo op and disappeared.

Is that a Siberian?  As far as I know, only Siberians sleep like that. We have one, that's how I know.

That’s a human trail I dug with a mattock! Haha. I cut for a few hours today with bow saw, loppers, and an axe. I sweated thru everything, can’t hardly walk now.  Hopefully some buddies are coming soon with a chainsaw, mine hasn’t worked in years

My Father's hasn't worked in years either.  He claims it starts and runs fine, and when the time comes to cut some wood, he pulls on that stupid thing 40 times before he gives up and says "just doesn't wanna start today."  And we just stand there wondering what to do next.

Probably hasn't done a second of routine maintenance on it since he bought it either.  Those little 2 stroke engines are so unreliable.  Last time we needed one, I borrowed my Uncle's because I know he takes care of his stuff much better.  Of course his fired up on the second pull.

They work if you use them more than once a year. Your car won’t work if you only drive it once a year either haha

my chainsaw just needs the carb jet cleaned out with some small wire, my buddy fixed it in 15 minutes a few years back. I might could do it but I’ve been known to make the problem worse

My little friend makes short work of Them blackberry/raspberry bushes that a stringed weed whacker can’t do without wasting line lol.

My son’s dog (standard poodle) stalked a rabbit and got this close before it noticed and this dog has done this so many times. The photo doesn’t do justice on how close we were to the rabbit.

I’m beginning to wonder if poodles aided in hunting or tracking in the past or if his ability to stalk and track are just innate in dogs generally. I’m pretty impressed and perhaps their reputation being a “rich and pampered” breed couldn’t be farther from the truth.
