No she doesn’t fish.

But she filleted a gar last week using bolt cutters to open it up.

Seasoned it and fried it before I could wash the boat.

I uh, found the right one.

My wife doesn't fish often and sometimes gets a little annoyed at how much I fish (1-2 a week), especially with a kid under 2 in the house, but I enjoy it when she comes with me.

My wife doesn't care for fishing.  Since we've been together she has fished maybe 5 or 6 times with me.  The last time was around 1999 or so.

My wife enjoys a fair weather boating experience as a companion and doesn't like to fish, enjoys being outdoors. Growing up in Canada during summers my wife looks forward to a shore lunch on remote lakes, not something we can duplicate in SoCal.

Would be called a 'picnic' in Cali.....

My wife enjoys fishing quite a bit.  In fact, we left for a long fishing weekend hours after our wedding, and has gone along on fly-in outpost fishing trips.  Her first passion is photography and that hobby has melded well with my fishing....both when she's along and when we go our separate ways for a day....like when she's out on a shoot.

How was the gar?

Outstanding. Honestly some of the best fish I’ve ever had.

My wife loves to catch. Doesn’t matter species or size as long as she’s catching something. But let it go an hour without a fish and she’s ready to head to the house.

Mine comes out when my 8 year old son wants to go, she usually catches when him and me skunk... She'll fish a little then lays in the seats or back deck. When were bank fishing she's my son's pack mule lol.

My wife goes with me once in a while. This is the first year she has bought her license and gone fishing with me in about three years. She doesn't like to be gone as long as I do So I try to fish a place closer to home and not stay out as long. I bought her a couple of BPS Extreme spincast reels and put them on some extra rods I had. I pick out what I think she should use to catch some fish. A lot of times she catches one before I do.

My wife enjoys going out on the lake, and enjoys fishing. But her idea of fishing and mine are a little different. She drowns worms exclusively. No other baits or lures. And she's completely happy with catching a few bluegills. I'm after a little more challenging fish, plus she's not a morning person at all. I'm usually coming off the lake when she's getting ready to head out.

My wife likes to go with me and fish for awhile when they're biting and the weather is nice. I enjoy taking her and spending time with her doing what I love doing.

Her PB largemouth while we were in South Carolina at a friends lake which was a of course just a little bit bigger than my biggest of the day, but I don't mind :)

My wife would rather do almost anything else than go sit in a boat and sweat all day.  With that said, I think she enjoys the days I take off and am gone for 8-10 hours in my boat all day.  She certainly doesn't care.  She knows where I'm at.

This is my exact situation. And to boot, my wife is not willing to get up @ 3:50 am.

My wife used to fish with me quite a bit on vacations from Northern Manitoba to Florida. She wasn't really into it, but she enjoyed it. After a while, she didn't like what the sun was doing to her skin so she quit going.

My wife doesn't fish, but supports my 'addiction'. Here's a shot of us at our wedding reception back in '90.

My wife isn’t really into fishing but she comes out with me a few times a year.  She really seems to get a kick out of casting and retrieving, so I set her up a rod with a paddle-tail frog tied on and she’s quite content to just cast and crank all day.  She’s had a couple good blowups but is never manage to hook one.

Oddly, she picked up how to use a baitcaster after about 20 minutes of instruction.  She still starts every session with the brakes cranked all the way up but as she remembers what she’s doing she turns them down and by end of the day she’s making really respectable casts for someone who goes months without touching a rod and reel.

My wife fishes with me about 5-6 times a year, until this year. We have a 9 month old that requires more of her attention. She is more of a fair weather type angler and also prefers to target panfish because there tends to be more action. She’s also sat with me a couple times in the turkey blind, but not in a million years will I get her in a deer stand.

My wife has only been fishing with me a handful of times. Mostly saltwater fishing. She is not an outdoors person. The sun gives her migraines.

When she does go fishing, she doesn’t bait her own hook or take the fish off the hook. That’s what I am there for.

My wife is a sensational quilter so she lets me fish and I let her quilt.

She will ride in the boat and sit in the passenger seat to read a book as I fish.

She does not fish and has no knowledge of fishing nor is she interested in fishing or learning about it.

But as a cook, homemaker, lover, and quilter she is over the top.

She is a real blonde and if you think it is fun living with a blonde you are 100% correct.  Never a dull moment.

She is the best catch of my life.

My queen will tag along for a few trips each summer.  She fishes, but I think the just enjoys being on the water, watching and listening to me talk my way through the puzzle of the day.  This is from last summer, fishing our old dock.  That dock is still one of the best spots around.

Most of the places I got to fish require a mile minimum walk to get to. More like 2 miles up hill.

She doesnt mind fishing but hates the hike. So doesnt really go with me often.
