There's no way Vienna sausages are made from pork, not even lips and fingernails.  It's got to be something worse.

I did my part by sending out a few sketches, don't know if they were received?

Too bad this turned out to be scam.

I can't believe a bait company hasn't seen the obvious demand for the stuff and jumped at the chance to be the only company making them? I don't know many guys that know the effectiveness of pork trailers who wouldn't pay $10 a jar for good trailers.

Yeah as somebody else said this is all over the Facebook bass buy and sell

pages.  Sounds like he got a lot of people from a lot of different groups.

A scam?

Darn.

I still have some Uncle Josh's pork in their original jars.

Have not used them for sentimental reasons.

Thanks to everyone for the information.

I sent him a message last Thurs. and he answered right back that my order was going out the next day.

I can get a hold of plenty of scrap pork, not the fishing lure but the skin. No clue on how to make trailers but the raw material I can acquire.

the picture On page 1 the guy posted of the raw pork, I’ve been known to fry that in a pan and eat it!

I think WRB has the details as he used to make his own pork trailers

I remember asking Robin the owner of Super Pork why he was closing the business and he said it was too demanding for him and his wife. The big problem was finding hog backs with thick enough skin. The way hogs are raised today results in thin skin because of the excellerated growth. Thin skin hog backs make poor pork rind for bass fishing.

It seems this way as well especially with the virus now. Does anyone have his contact info (please PM me), I don't want to dispute the PayPal payment if he is just swamped I can wait a bit.

I'm guessing the vastly underestimated the demand, the work that goes into it, and shipping prices.

Mostly shipping prices...

I sent the guy an email basically saying if he doesn't get back to me by next weekend I am going to dispute the Paypal charge. We'll see, I'm not gonna hold my breath.

I've been a pork trailer advocate for MANY years......bucktail is what we called our jigs back in the 70's for smallmouth.

Still have some uncle Josh.

I've not in an area with a feral hog problem but if I was then I imagine that access to all the thick hide a guy could want could be had for free. Imagine the profit margin that would provide!

That’s the hogs I can get, wild ones with black hair.
