Picked up a bulleit BIB tonight...from what I understand its 7 years and its their own distillate. Basically the same exact specs as heaven hill BIB but I like this better. Its got some toasted hazelnut and earthiness with more sweetness on the nose than the palate. Its kinda different.

Soda bread not so much, but Firestone oh heck yeah count me in😜. My son turned me onto this brand several years ago with a 4 pack of double IPA’s or maybe imperial IPA’s that were some of the best tasting beers I’ve ever had but man did they sneak up on you 😬which is why they probably only sold them in the 4 pack😆 Tonight I’m indulging in Yuengling as it’s finally been brought to Illinois even though It’s been sold in Indiana for 🤔 I have no idea how long😉IMG_4271.jpeg.79a6c523e96cc16c974f8e65fd50652c.jpeg

This is the last one I have, an old time favorite that was resurrected this year in an special pack that was pretty much only in Costco.

I really enjoyed it on a cool and cloudy day here in the northeast.

AAAHHHHHHHH, I need that!!!! Seriously, Sierra Nevada needs to mass brew that and put it back into its own 12 packs again.

I agree 100%, that is one of the beers I always looked forward to when fall weather started.

Sitting around the fire pit with one  on the first cool night was just perfect.

I don’t know if anyone remembers Goose Island’s HexNut Brown Ale but that along with Michelob’s Honey Lager were my favorite winter beers.

@Eric 26 Everything I’ve had from Goose Island I’ve loved. Don’t think I’ve tried the Hex Nut. Their Next Coast IPA is top ten for me.

@Jar11591 Unfortunately Goose Island no longer brews a brown ale which they stopped even before being bought up, although I don’t drink a lot of their beers the standard IPA they brew is solid and very consistent taste wise. I’m not sure if anyone remembers JW Dundees honey brown lager but that’s the closest to the Michelob Honey that was only available in a Christmas 12 pack.

I know it's mother's day weekend but...we went to get stuff for mohitos and they had a brand new delivery of whiskey when we showed up.

Bookers is fantastic.  first time having it but it's in my top 4 now. Thankfully that one comes home with me.

Well I'm not much of a beer drinker now days but its unseasonably hot here...got into the 90s today...and my sister in law brought over a 12er of Banquet beer so I had a few of those. Believe ill finish out the night with a glass of WT 101 over 1 large ice cube.

Because it’s Mothers Day we are going to a winery for a tasting where my daughter is a vip member.  As I get ready for my annual trip to St Clair, we’ve packed away a couple bottles of Jack Daniels regular and a bottle of Gentleman Jack.  In the past we have done Jack Sinatra and this year I was trying to track down a bottle of Jack McLaren for our sipping pleasure, but I’m running out of time.

Although technically speaking I enjoyed a few of each of these 3 over the past couple of nights. I will also add the Honey Brown Lager is the exact beer I mentioned earlier in this thread just using a different name than JW Dundee.IMG_4621.jpeg.02da219ccc3cb8986f61dc9c209db26f.jpegIMG_4613.jpeg.30c72d5185a629564887c8cc28600682.jpegIMG_4615.jpeg.3a7e90ba826e07b5fe3706c17de2c4e5.jpeg

Cracked open a bottle of Tin Cup Fourteener tonight, best sub 90 proof bourbon I've had.

I picked up a mixed IPA 12 pack from Lagunitas last night and although I’ve had all but the “Beast Coast” prior they are all excellent as usual. But the star of tonight’s session is the Rogue double IPA that my friend/co-worker gave me as his BIL owns a grocery store and when the beers are reaching their do not sell date or just aren’t selling in general he distributes them to family and friends and fortunately for me my friend doesn’t like beer😃IMG_4707.jpeg.d8f9027ab7c31879596e95f04fec786b.jpegIMG_4710.jpeg.3109ab10e86f52c8dc03d7f4dc318243.jpegIMG_4708.jpeg.684367cac477ef1ffbf8d4e1c95ab70b.jpegIMG_4709.jpeg.99e042f3a4610c5089c732675eb4f572.jpeg

AS you can see, this is half gone.  Still, each time I get a pour of it I say "wow" out loud.  It's astoundingly good.

My doctor put me on these pain patches that I stick on my body like a nicorette patch. Unfortunately for me that means no more drinking... ever... I didn't drink much anymore anyways so the trade off is not a big deal and a small price to pay to finally have my pain levels within reason.
