Today's forecast: Mostly sunny with a cold front and rain arriving around 9:00 PM.

Actual weather: Thunderstorms beginning this morning at 8:30 AM. Currently heavy rain,

When the relay the forecast though, they think they're accurate lol.  The issue is that half the time it's off, and sometimes its not even close.  And yet they all still have their jobs for being so far off.  I understand that weather is not an exact science but they make it sound like it is.  I wish they would just be brutally honest and real with their forecasts instead of saying this or that and then be completely off.

Some of the female meteorologists very likely only have a job because of their physique too.

Talk about a warm front, Latin American weather forecasts and Venezuelan telenovelas, two things I watch with the volume off, speaking of off...

The sad part is, you still check the weather! They wouldn’t have their job if y’all would just quit clicking on their stuff and selling ads

I use 3 different apps. The apps are generally contradictory of each other.

The wind is what I try to pay attention to. Both Sailflow and Wunderground are relatively accurate.

Well it’s good someone is close! @A-Jay and @gimruis always say add 10 to the predicted MPh on wind

When I was a kid I had a cousin who....just never told the truth.  I heard my Grandfather tell him "if you keep lying you're going to grow up and be a weatherman"

I think they do a pretty good job with the science they have to work with and then make projections.

When i was working as a mechanic some shops i was at we had to give estimates of the total end cost of the repair and had to stick to it.

You never know what other parts may be worn or broken internally untill you take the engine apart completely. Kinda like making projections on what the weather is going to do.

Yeeahhh...no

With all the technology available today, things should be more accurate. We can somewhat accurately predict a hurricane. I get that. We cannot predict tornadoes. I get that. Why we can't accurately predict wind and rain is beyond me.
