I have been trying to find a good weedless Ned Rig Head. Any suggestions?  I have tried a couple that look like the one below but after a few fish all the ones I have tried start to have the wires unravel.  It's frustrating. The wires get wrapped around the line and sometimes cause it to get frayed. 

 

 

I’ve had good luck just Texas rigging with 1/16 oz weight and a Gamakatsu #1 ewg hook pegged with a bobber stop. 

If bottom trash is a problem with Ned try using a Ned on a drop shot with the hook above the sinker a foot or so. 

You need to find someone who has the Midwest finesse mold that takes the Victory #1 EWG hook.  That’s the closest thing to weedless that I have found.

Sieberts Outdoors has an offset Ned jig that is outstanding.

Offset Ned jigs are good for light weeds (like this: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descpage-BLO.html).  

 

If heavier cover than that, then consider a Tiny Child Rig... most weedless version out there, but you have to buy the hook and sinker separate.  Videos out there on how to rig, pretty simple. 

I fish the Flatlands Tackle wobble head and/or  Texas rigged with a Gamakatsu EWG.

These are great. perfect light Ned head for weeds. 

I have been using Mustad KVD Grip-Pin 2X Fine Wire Hook in size 1 for weedless Ned rig with a tungsten weight.  The plastic keeper on the hook holds Z man TRDs really well.

I just ordered a few of these and they work great but they are mot much different than a regular EWG. I wish they came in lighter head. 1/6 is the smallest as they have.

I make these also and they're the closest thing to a regular Ned while being pretty snag free that I've found. I do some with a wire weedguard also and they get bent up pretty quickly. 

We offer weedless Tungsten Ned heads, offset tungsten, and offset ned heads.

I got those the other day and plan to fish with them this weekend.

I know these are more like a mini Texas rig than they are a traditional Ned Rig. But these are all I use now for z man plastics like the big TRD and the pro craws. They’re very weedless.

Weedless Ned heads with the wires aren't really weedless. They should be called snag resistant. If snagging is a problem, I've found that going to a lighter head is the best option (and/or using a swim hop retrieve). If weeds are truly the problem, Texas rigged style is your best bet.

Owner and Gammy both offer offset weedless heads.

The z man Ned lockz are one of the better ones and a stout hook ! If you aren’t using elaztech baits, you can pop off the little led keeper that’s on the hook…. Then you can use it with any Ned bait on the market . 

i have the Owners.  i should just give them away at this point.  i dont use them at all.

 

i just texas rig them now.  pegged if i feel it would help, but usually not. 

This is my absolute favorite. Really easy to rig and the elastec stays put incredibly well. Wish they did a 1/16 size, but I use the 1/8 for just about everything.
