Thank you. I always appreciate your posts. Found the jigs. Its an interesting tie. Made my first one last week based off Smalljaws tutorial but im out of 210 and 140 denier. Those take alot of tension to get the desired flair. It might be interesting with a zonker strip trailer as well. I think i’ll have to try it once i restock.

I am a huge fan and fully endorse finesse jigs made of diverse materials. 

I've used marabou with synthetics, deer, wool,  zonkers, silicone and rubber on a hook every which way I can think of for early winter and spring smallmouth.

For me, success wise its been in this order.

 

Wacky rig

Ned rig

Paddle tail swimbaits

tube

drop shot

@Bird, they make finesse spinnerbaits and Alabama rigs, at this point all fishing tackle is finesse if you want to sell it 

 

to me , that would be a big bait that I’m throwing on my heavy tackle baitcasters

All depends on where I am fishing?

 

River its Ned, Wacky, Drop Shot is almost unable to be used in 4' of water. Honestly I didn't even try the DS in the river it was all Hover rig.

 

Lake I would rank them wacky, Drop Shot, and don't really use a Ned in lakes.
