Specifically talking about jigs worked on the bottom. Not talking about swim jigs or bladed jigs etc. I’m really curious to see what’s popular.

 

My favorites are the rage craw and the d bomb.

Netbait paca craw, green pumpkin, when I lived in Nc. Haven’t had any luck with them in Fl.

Small swimbaits - crush city mayor/rage swimmer

 

Craw style baits - rage craw/ mag speed craw/ chigger craw 

 

Beaver style baits - d bomb/ rage bug/ z craw

 

Soft Jerkbaits - fluke / spunk shad 

 

Grubs - fat Albert / Yamamoto twin tail/ rage menace

 

Chunks - Paw Paw E Pork/ Zoom Super Chunk/ Missile Baits Chunk

 

 

Second the chigger craw and paca craw.
 

Fat cow jig strips (don’t knock it til you try it) are a quiet favorite so pls keep that between us  

Day in and day out I've caught more with a  standard size speed craw trailer than all the others combined. The Zoom chunk or Chompers twin tail in really cold water.

I like the rage craw in all its sizes, the zoom z craw in both sizes, and the zoom z hog in both sizes. Lately the Yamamoto Flappin Hog has been hot. That was an old favorite of mine that I’ve been getting back to.

X zone adrenaline craw, it happens to also be one of my favorites for swimjigs.

Twin tail grubs (4”) that I pour to match or contrast to the jig.

Plain old Zoom Salty Chunk about 80-90 percent of the time. Zoom Super Chunk Jr., the rest of the time. Once upon a time prior to those, all Uncle Josh pork of some kind.

Yamamoto twin tail, Max scent meaty chunk. 

For an action trailer, a RageTail craw. When I'm just looking to add bulk without a lot of action, like in cold water, I go with a chunk. There was a time when I used a pork trailer in cold water, but I never liked dealing with removing them at the end of the day and having to rinse the jig so the hook wouldn't rust, but they did seem to produce better than plastic.

Bruiser Baits crazy craw.  

I have been trying to narrow it down from about 90% of the ones listed.  Personally, I have been overwhelmed by all the recommendations from the BR members here.  All I have been able to conclude is that there are lots of good options.  

Larew Salt Craw , double tail grub, but most  used plastic's on the boat floor will work.   Half a plastic worm catches a lot of fish for me.

NetBait Paca chunks are my favorite. Also love RageTail Menace and Craws.

I was going to say Berkeley chigger craw in my OP but I wasn’t sure if they were still sold. They’re definitely a good one too!

It’s funny, I find craw style baits much less effective in south Florida than they were up in northern states. Whether that be as a jig trailer or on a Texas rig, beavers like the d bomb and sweet beaver get so many more bites than craw style baits.

 

I thought it was just a factor at my local fishing spots but seeing your comment I’m now wondering if it’s a Florida thing.
