Nice.  Something funny- since you joined this site....I've read your screen name as 'Chump'.  My eyesight isn't very good, and I guess my eyes were 'auto-correcting'.  You liked my post a minute ago, and my phone was zoomed in when I read the notification.  I was like Cbump?  Is this a new member?  And then I saw he was using Chump's picture!  That's when I made the realization ? .

My moms too! We’ve literally watched It every year for as long as I can remember. My mom went and stayed in the house they filmed It in. I guess it’s setup exactly like the movie and is a rental or something now.

That just made my night?. Where is/was the house they filmed/rented? As a side note the “Oh Fudge” scene has me rolling every time I see it ??

one more pretty color flash on my braid-mod '78 4500C

Since this photo, using a Kahara handle from the parts bin,

I swapped the chromed-brass frame with later Abu black alloy to bring the weight down (good price from my ebay UK Abu parts guy).  The red alloy Haneda Craft handle with alloy spindle screws reduces the offset weight and torsion in your grip.

and good color match with the Bright River 5' glass red/black Concorde MM (quick photo above, not great color saturation).

The bottom half of the rod blade is black, top half red, all red wraps.

I’m excited to add the steez power pitch to the family. It certainly looks to be a powerful rod from doing the bend test. I’m surprised how well it balances with a 5.5oz reel that has no line on it.

Found a marketplace steal on a jdm 6’6 posion adrena 3/8 - 1oz MH for another skipping and pitching rod.

At 3.8oz it’s only a tenth of an ounce heavier than my 783c conquest that’s only rated to 3/4.

I think this thing should be a fun stick.

such a fun rod.  I regret selling mine.  You should enjoy this one a lot.   I had mine paired with an Abu mgx 2.    Was an insanely light combo.

. Mine will be paired up with a steez ct sv with a 100mm paddle handle.

What did you enjoy throwing on yours ? I’m excited to compare it to my Megabass tachyon shaft.

An even better reel than what I had.  LoL.   I used it for everything.    Fished it on the float tube a bunch and just from shore so the shorter rod helped a lot. Used it mainly for Texas rigged worms, chatterbaits, small hollowbody frogs and lipless cranks.   It did it all well.

Do you like that rod a lot? I want to buy a 6'6" or 6'7" rod, at the longest. For texas/jig/cover scat duties. Main requirement is sensitivity for me.

Tachyon shaft is my favorite rod. Very sensitive, fun to throw

Although I technically can’t use it until Fathers Day ? here’s my Midway “open box” reel and the rod I purchased it for.4D8BBA0F-A90A-439A-8AD7-219ECEE29619.thumb.jpeg.c593e9a12bcffdf7efb5d2baafc126ab.jpegB608E937-7FF1-451B-A832-D77D0DF139AF.thumb.jpeg.8b249ec2a0ba12862ff7197ed5631071.jpeg0FD47E1A-A318-4F33-B161-8150450CED43.thumb.jpeg.4d6ca511be107397468a54a4bcb892e6.jpeg

New dedicated BFS setup for stream fishing. Daiwa Alphas Air TW on a Tailwalk Troutia Feerique C49L/G-P4. This rod is pretty unique in that it is a 4 piece travel rod with the two lower(handle end) pieces being carbon, and the two upper(tip end) pieces being glass. The overall setup is a joy to use, and is quickly becoming one of my favorite BFS setups.
