  1. I've tried braid as backing. Didnt like it too much. I too backlashed with that. I now use mono as backing. The fluoro I use now is mccoy 100%. Dont usually use it for light lures though
  2. Watch "im gonna miss her" by brad paisley! Right next to her. No but seriously its a hard thing what your dealing with. She might get pissy but I think she'll get over it.
  3. Dude I love stained or muddy water. Did some yesterday. Had a great day. Brings the fish close to cover or the bank. Fishing my favorite lures being jig, spinnerbait, and square bill.
  4. Could always do this under the table. Just to supplement yourself. Ive had people (that ive delclined) even ask me to go on THEIR boat and show them around a lake that they never fished before. Offered me some money. But he kind of creeped me out, soooo...haha
  5. All i can say is ebay can be your best friend and worst enemy at the same time.
  6. Next... a suspending buzzbait
  7. Ive heard different eyes different lenses. People swear by amber lenses for sight fishing.while others cant see a thing with amber lenses. I kno im fine with amber as long as its bright out. Intermittent clouds i like the yellow lenses. brightens everything up.
  8. Did you try lurepartsonline.com. you can custom build your jigs with the hook ya want i think.
  9. Smaller phillups/flathead screwdriver 10 mm nut driver Swabs
  10. WOW!
  11. Check the label. Usually it might say machine wash. use cold water. Tumble dry. If its like a thin silky material thats most likely dry clean, even if it does say machine wash. Pssst. Frabreeze works well too.
  12. Short roll cast ... yea somtimes. Just need a lil more pressure with the thumb
  13. Probly braid be the best bet. You could always tie a fluoro leader.
  14. Maybe look at kast king reels majority of them are inexpensive. And for rods you have options with ugly sticks. House rods from cabelas or bps. Like a whuppin stick or cranking stick. You are looking for a rod that has give in it maybe a moderate or maderate fast. As for combos im not familiar with them i usually buy rods and reels seperate. Your can go to the store and check a couple out. Sorry i cant be of more help.
  15. In the long run... yea.
  16. 6'6" rod will work fine even with medium heavy rod. Thats what i use. Just watch the specs. At least 12-20 lb line 3/8-1 oz. Line. And you want a fast or extra fast tip. Your using no stretch heavy braid so the frog hooks will go in fine. I use a cheap quantum tournament grade im8 and its rated for 25 lb line 1 1/2 oz. A strong backbone. Works great for me.
  17. Wife got me a 50 buck tackle warehouse giftcard and her dad got me 50 buck giftcard for cabelas...so im set. Haha
  18. Lews perfect crankbait rod. Or a bps crankin stik
  19. The reel. Go to a 5:1 gear ratio, that might alleviate some of the fatigue your feeling. Wide spool doent hurt either. Keeps the reel fuller of line then the gear ratio stays up without tiring out.
  20. Might be too light for a baitcasting setup. And rapala's balsa is pretty hard to cast in itself.
  21. Tackle backpack. Usually I bring three rods two baitcasters maybe a third or a spinning rod. Depend on what the weather is and where I'm fishing. Bright sunny, pitching rod frog rod spinning rod. Cloudy, spinnerbait rod or squarebill rod, topwater.
  22. Is this rod around the equivalent of bps crankin stick. I have read that it's a rod for crakbaits. If anyone has used one or has any info. Please reply. Kinda interested for squarebills.
