I'd buy Jackall and MegaBass products even if they weren't fish magnets.    LuckyCraft is the other big hardbait company that shares the unique qualities of those first two in my experience.

You can always spot their baits in a box filled with various mfg'rs baits in it as they ooze quality, refinement, and sophistication.

The Japanese monkey is the one who steals my wallet the most it seems, I throw out all reason and rational when I see the shiny perfected finishes, or the incredible detail and realism to them.

For as good as they look, they 9/10 times are even more effective due to incredible actions and subtle nuances that other companies can't quite match.

I did it. The bass bait monkey didn’t get me for any bass lures! Musky bait monkey got me today with 6 double 8’s inlines, 1 double 9 in-line, and a t shirt for under 80. Don’t see many half off musky lure deals.

Last time out in the kayak I realized I didn't want to get my feet wet during winter and my wading boots weren't going to cut it with the pdl. Got these on a significant discount at Kittery and they're comfy and a lot lighter than I anticipated.

I have these boots. They are great but be advised they are waterproof but do absorb water on the outside and your feet can get cold with a standard pair of socks. I wear either wool boot socks or a pair of Sealskins.

XX% off for another Tat 150 and some finesse-y trinkets was simply too much for my tender heart to bear, so I smashed the BUY button! Weeee!

First Tat 300? You're gonna love it. Monster. So nice. My favorite big reel.

Yes my first Tat 300. I fish a Revo Beast 60, Lew's Wide Spool, and aTranx 400. This past year I picked up 2 Tatula 100s and have been very impressed, so I had to try a 300. Kinda scary with me being a mostly Shimano guy.?

Just like stocking foot waders, go 1 shoe size up to allow for heavy thermal socks and you'll be able stand in near freezing water and remain reasonably comfortable for hours.

Great reels. The new Curado 300 with old timey VBS is fantastic too if you get another itch. So nice. You'll really appreciate the Tat 300 with heavy copoly, fluoro, or mono. It just flows out of the reel, and the cranking power is sweet.

Thanks...I did buy one size bigger. The wool socks I use can be worn down to about 0⁰ with no issues.  The Sealskins I have are also waterproof and insulated.  I think the original price on the one I have were around $100 but I found them in a bargain box at REI last year for $5. Got lucky.

DEFIANT 210 8.25" Swimbait Baitfish

Defiant 210 8.25" in fast sink.  Those are line-through hooks, but on top.

It's big brother the 247 is on the list, but I'd like to get some confidence at this size first.

TW Black Friday order showed up. Kept it simple this year, just a handful of purchases I was putting off for the discount.

5x Booyah One Knocker in flashy momma to replace the pile of them I broke off this year

2x Thunderhawk Sergeant rattling in bait color to replace ones I broke off this year (noticing a pattern? Also seriously if you enjoy throwing a lipless give these a shot.)

A pack of SuspenDots and SuspenStrips to try out

2x Rapala Shadow Rap Shad in carbon and molten copper. No Halloween color in stock sadly.

A CrossEyez chatterbait. Not a fan of the wire bait keeper on it, I cut it off my other one. But I like that O'Shaughnessy hook a lot over the standard round bend.

A pack of Mustad fastach clips to replace the clip on the CrossEyez, no issues with it on my other one but it gives me the heeby jeebies looking at it.

1/16oz nail weights to try out with some Berkley gillys I picked up a little while back.

Owner Hyper Wire and oval split rings

2x Mustad KVD 2x short trebles in size 2, 4, and 6 to try out.

2x Owner single replacement hooks in sizes 1 and 2. Have these in 1/0, but too big for some of the stuff I want to experiment with them on.

3x Fuji EZkeepers, look like a nice way to keep from getting hook rash on some of my rods, figured I'd try a few out with the sale price.

And of course, who can pass up the promo hat/shirt/sticker.

Shimano Caius is a gift for my little brother since his SilverMax is getting up there in years and saltwater use.

Next up will be replacing this stupid phone, broken camera lens is driving me nuts with this photo quality ?

Just took delivery of the 6'10 M Expride B. And I feel like crying knowing I'll have to wait  3.5 months before I'll likely be able to use it. Paired with a Curado 70 MGL, this setup feels like heaven.

Don't feel too bad - you could be this side of the border...I've got 5.5 months before bass season opens here and I can test out my 5 new rods and 7 new reels.

Come on over to WI this spring! I love that we went to open season (C&R) all year round a few years ago. It used to always be the first weekend in May. Now as soon as ice is off lakes in March, I'm out there.

If we could find a PCA to look after the wife while I'm gone...it'd be a sure thing...right now my trips must be short and close to home.
