I grabbed an HD back in July.  It's fantastic and was my first "high end" diawa.  tatula and curado are more than fine, but the met, zillion, and bantam are ruining me.  I feel like I can never look, touch, or fish anything more expensive.  haha

Medium wire is about right, it's not heavy gauge but it's a strong hook. We typically throw them on 20lb braid to a 15-20lb fluoro leader when we throw them inshore. Also a weedless variation that is nice.

I have used it a few times. It's great and powerful.  The first 7min of this video explains pretty close to how I feel.  This rod, and any like it, gets heavy if you use it all day.

i dont know that guys name.  but i got the feeling if he woke up one morning and only owned MY reels/rods, he would throw himself out a window.

Ordered around 11pm Sunday, arrived today around 2pm.    Third time buying from Digitaka, they absolutely have ruined me to all reasonable expectations in terms of pricing, shipping, and overall exceptionalism.    

 

As for the reel, it's the most refined reel I've ever owned....the level of detail is ridiculous.   Japanese reels are in a league of their own, and I've never regretted buying one.     I can't wait to start fishing with it.

Even the packaging is great. Perfect gaffer tape job on the outside and Japanese newspaper to read on the inside.

100%.....plus you get the anime cartoon + promotion for JDM lure/reel brochure, a sticker, and the packer's signature.    All three of mine have been packed by the same person.     

 

It's important to make the customer feel special and wanted, sounds obvious, but it's a disappearing trait among businesses today.

Ordered my reel from them Monday and it arrived today as well. I’m dumbfounded on the quick shipping. From Kobe, Japan! ? Like the cartoon and other stuff too.

Ya, all three of my reels, ordered from them at different times, came in within 3 days...meanwhile shops here in the states don't even get the order out the door for 2-3 days, then it's another 1/2 to a week before you see it - if you're lucky.

Yeah that's the wild thing about this process.    Domestic shipping has so many stops.   These Digitaka FEDEX deliveries go straight to Memphis, and then directly to your city from there.    I wonder if Digitaka ships JDM as fast as worldwide.....good chance they don't.

Going to grab a Damiki Vault in the coming days along with some Damaki Jigheads.   Frustrating seeing big fish stacked deep.    Been watching Tactical Bassin, and they recommend the Vault quite often.     Already a huge fanboy for the Armor Shad but haven't tried the Damaki Jigheads and the actual technique behind the name.

@AlabamaSpothunter I'm no blade bait expert, but the vault is fish catching machine.  The only advice I have is less is more, just a 2-3 shimmy and drop. Rips through the short grass, vibrates quickly, and gets bites.  @A-Jay put me on some good hardware upgrades.  The pike up here have been equal opportunity feeders to go with the SM and LM.

Fish it like a spinner bait. Slow roll it with an occasional pop or pause. You can also yo-yo it.

I should have these in a couple days.

My first two Zillion SV TW reels are crossing the Pacific coming my way.  One is from JLS and the other from Digi….  The notification for “back in stock” made me jump on them (like a monkey in the tree).

Nice buy on those ball head jigs as you’re gonna lose them if you’re down where the fish are.  Can’t have too many at that nice price.

Received a few packages this week.  Picked up handles and spools for my tat 100's from ali-exp.  First order from there...shipping took a month.

No, these aren't the same US $500+ Exsence you're thinking of. If so the $240 they're listed at on Digitaka (and the $180 he paid) would be a CRAZY steal and I'd buy 10 of them. Lol.
