Last little order before spring. I should be on the water within 2 weeks. I’m foaming at the mouth.

Another big bait is the Baitsanity Antidote Tug. It's 9" and 4 oz. I haven't fished it but have watched a few videos on it. Matt talks about it in TB's latest gear review video. I like the sounds of it and how it'll jump out of the water as well.

My fishing buddy got one last fall. It swims great.

I just watched a nice video on it, and the guy was saying he likes it just as much if not more in diving mode.

There are times where they want it cranked slowly just under the surface. The Shellcracker G2 can be fished this way and most of the time this is the only way they'll hit it around here. Crank it down just a little, then let it float up, but continue reeling it in keeping it subsurface. Should be able to fish the MB the same exact way, and with its torpedo profile it's very eatable. That's one of the reasons a TK is so deadly. Its profile.

I wanted to try one of the tatula elite rods for a couple years now, new model released lately and they had the 6’9 heavy in uh oh. They were stocked on p5 rods also, super destroyer, mad bull and a couple others. I liked the super destroyer due to length and power, but just like last year with the x bites the action seemed a little different than what I thought it would be. In all honesty I could not afford the p5 so I shifted gears.

1 tatula elite 6’9 heavy fast action rod

1 1/2 jack hammer green pumpkin shad

1 pack zako in disco green

1 lucky craft lv max500 aurora black

1 dirt jigs 1/2 California swim jig Alabama bream

1 pack 4’ rage menace in blue gill

I wanted to try shorter rods this year so that swayed me on the tatula rod. I have a nice kayak, old town predator mx 12 but I do bank fish a lot and I liked the action of it. I really wanted a different trailer for the jackhammer, that’s why I went with disco green. I think it looks good what’s your opinion ? I am running out of ideas at this point lol, making my own combos of colors and rods is definitely fun.

Had mine out for the 1st time the other day. Loaded fine with a 3/8oz Project Z with a 4" diesel minnow which runs light for a trailer. Handles a Shellcracker G2 well. Got this one specifically for wade fishing and avoiding clipping branches on the back cast where certain deeper water drop-offs keep me closer to the bank. It'll be perfect for pitching while sitting on my yak too. The free Huk hoodie rebate just sweetened the deal.

Yeah it’s seems to have a nice tip with a good backbone from the time I spent holding it and checking the action of it. There’s one place that is near my apartment that allows me to drift along standing up in my yak with a good breeze just picking apart one whole side of the small lake. I chose my kayak for being able to stand and fish out of it, I could stand and fish with 12-14 inch swells on a breezy fall day. I think it will work out great, thanks for your first hand feedback I greatly appreciate it 😀

So I fished the SuWitch over the course of 5hrs, of which a good hour was spent with this bait.

Pros:

I caught 3 fish within it's first 10 cast, however on the third it hooked a fish badly and decided to wait until I found bigger fish.    I continued to fish it but never caught another fish.     Those first three schooler sized fish came when I had it in dive mode, where it would run close to 4 ft on 16lb sniper which is thinner than most, and fluoro so it sinks and helps.     I read a review that said it's just dynamite for active fish feeding on shad......out of those 10 cast, 5 of those were burned before I found the active fish blowing up shad in 1-4ft, then it produced 3/5 casts with a lost fish.    It was ridiculous.      There is something about this bait that drives them wild when chasing shad, that much is clear.  In Dive mode it looks very similar to the awesome body roll and swim of the Magdrafts.   Similar part of the water column as well.

Cons:

The hooks are all wrong on this bait, it's needs much larger and heavier gauge hooks.

I'm new to wake baits, but this thing won't wake until about half way through the cast with the rod tip held at 45 degrees regardless how slow I tried to run it when it landed.   It would run about 6"-1ft halfway then start waking.

I really dislike the size of this bait.   While it's no problem to throw a 1 1/8th oz lure on a 1oz rated rod, the relative light weight to longer length, fatter profile, and a multi jointed make this bait about as aerodynamic as a ham sandwich.   Not to mention you need to find a solid 1oz rated moving bait rod, lots of fish will be lost on this bait using H rods.

To this point, it's just in that gray area.....it'll still get hit by every dink in the lake, but I'm sure the big fish will eat it too.   Scale it up, or scale it down, the current size just doesn't really do anything for me.    Obviously, an opinion.

It says you can walk the dog and other secondary movements, I couldn't achieve them in a manner I found confidence inspiring.

In summary, I'm not upset at the purchase, I'm not even disappointed, but I'm not wow'd like the Shimano Swimbait recently wowed and continues to wows me.  That bait was pretty much instant magic.    This bait has huge potential if I can commit a rod and time to it.    I doubt the fish in your body of water have seen a bait like this one, I know mine haven't.

I had to grab a couple more things, wanted to get some swim baits, swim jigs. They also had the gold blade flashy swimmers a couple lipless and a flat side crank that the pike will probably ruin, oh well it’s a lure and only $9. Can’t catch fish if you’re afraid to lose your precious baits lol.

2 packs 3.8 fat impact black blue, deep blue, smokin white

2 packs 4’ menace blue sapphire, Smokey shad

2 dirty jig swim jigs 3/8 black blue, 1/2 California tactical shad

2 lvmax 500 Bp golden shiner, magma peacock

1 quake 70 bluegill fire

1 rapala og slim 6 red craw dad

1 pack flashy swimmer 1/0-1/8 oz gold willow blades

I will use the keitech as a trailer and stand alone, same with the menaces. I fish very dirty water so I wanted to experiment a little bit lol.

Although I should be acquiring deep diving cranks, some how I ended up with a few Whipper Snapper 110s in my hands. At $10 a pop, I couldn’t pass fleshing out some deeper diving jerkbaits to the arsenal.

Aren't the Whipper Snappers only $7?

I know the 13 Fishing Loco Special jerkbaits are reg. $15.

$10 Canadian = $7 USD.

The Locos look good too, but can't find them locally.

I might not keep them both but I got suckered in to the “get them before they’re gone, we might not get more for a year or two” sales pitch. Lol

Yep he sure does my family lol, the messes they make. Now if only they would clean up after there selves and use some of the excess cleaning products we have, we would be golden.

Finally sat down and organized the 350+ Ned heads I had hanging around in a variety of places, many that I had picked up over last year and this winter. Even have room for a few more in that little Plano 3600 😎
