Just got mine in the mail today. This thing is very light. Seems well-made. I actually found a decent amount of reviews online before I placed my order (including folks here who love theirs). I saw nothing but positive reviews.

From an email, Dick's is having a buy 5, get 5 free in-store clearance (lesser or equal value per the email).

It would be a good deal if the Dick's by me actually had ten baits on clearance that were worth buying.  Its sort of hit and miss.  They have been scaling down their fishing department over the years.

Agreed. I have a list on my DSG account of what I want to buy. 12 items, only 2 are carried in stock at my local store.

And they wonder why the storefronts are doing worse every year.

I have about 4 Dick's stores close to me and they range from bad to terrible for fishing stuff. I've stopped even going.

I'm just going to order online from them. If I want to peruse stuff, there's a Cabela's about 40 minutes from my house.

The only times dicks has anything worth my while is when they put the keitech on sale

One of the best stocked DSG is right across the street from a Field & Stream, lol.

I've got a $10 gift card for american legacy (website only, not ebay) if anyone wants it, just sent me a pm and i'll give you the code.

The best fishing-stocked DSG I've ever been to was literally merged with a F&S, figures why the fishing section was decent I guess.

They are the same company. Can't explain why they want both stores in the same place but I've seen it at other places.

The Capital Region of NY has some decently stocked DSG/F&S stores. Thank goodness, with no Bass Pro, Cabelas or Academy's near by they are the only game in town.

My Academy is a much better stocked fishing department - closest Cabelas/BPS is 90 miles away.  The Dicks is ok, but I get the feeling they're carrying the bare minimum in company-approved gear, that no one locally is curating the department to cater to the local fishing scene.  We have a couple of extremely well stocked local tackle stores too, so that keeps them from trying to compete too.

I wish Academy had some sort of customer loyalty or rewards program, like the Dick's scorecard program, I'd get a lot more use out of it.

Same goes for me here in Louisiana. Academy has the better selection but DSG has the much better prices.

I got a $10 off a $40 purchase a while back from Cabela's. I couldn't even use it as they didn't have anything I really needed at the time.

DSG has $10 off any $50 purchase ends tonight.

Bunch of Okuma Scott Martin Tournament Concept Rods TCS models on sale from Amazon.  $98 for some models.  Limited stock it seems.

Wheeler and Martain jumping from Okuma was kinda surprising.  These TCS rods have won a lot of money!
