I got mine in a big box with the 3 rod rod tubes in it. All were in good condition. But the stone cold spook and trap was wrong. I ordered a MH and the label on the box said MH but the rod is a H. Not anyone there's fault as im sure the Irod was loaded into the wrong tube at the factory. But same issues as you. No phone number, no chat, and no response from email for almost a week.

I was wondering if this was going to happen. I looked at a few of these sale rods. The description said one thing, but when I cross referenced the actual part # on the iRod website they were for a different rod. I wish I had posted something  

My experience with Midway USA has been awesome!   I had to return 2 items and my communication has been awesome.   Free return shipping was seamless.  Printed it off at home and sent it with the UPS man when he stopped to deliver other stuff.  With the deals I received, I will be doing more business with them for sure.   I have been very impressed with this company.  Thanks again for the heads up.  I have another $75 in my cart right now.  Deals are still there.

That was more of a joke but just so you know Chinese people can still leave China...that Great Wall thingy is more of a historical monument than an actual wall...plus airplanes and stuff are way more relevant now.

Hey BR! Its been a while!

 

Yesterday when I was in Dick's Sporting Goods there where tons of sales on alot of things! The best 3 being Big Bite Baits buy 5 or more and get each one for only $1! And Rage Tails for $4.50! And lastly there was a 3 For $10 on ALL Live Target or Storm Arashi Lures!! There were Bluegill Swimbaits, Mini Alabama Rigs, and for some reason a ton of Live Target Bait Ball Series Baits! 

 

Anybody know why there is such a good sale right now? Will this sale be the same next year to see if I should buy some more now?

Judging from the dicks stores locally I wonder if they aren't getting out of the fishing game all together.  There are 2 locally and one has some stuff while the other is basically empty in the fishing department 

My local DSG stopped carrying fishing too.

I'm pretty sure Dick's is getting out of all the outdoor stuff because they own Field & Stream.  My guess is that they want to direct those sale to that store and keep Dick's focused more on other sporting goods.

Probably, except (maybe) markets that don't have a F&S in them. All we got here is DSG - closest F&S store in my area is apparel only. Closest full F&S is over 5 hours away by car.

Remember stores like Dicks and WalMart are seasonal ordering stores. They order in the fall for fishing season and once they sell out they don't replenish. With Covid shut down everyone was buying outdoor equipment and supplies.

Same here. My local DSG removed all of the floor space for fishing and replaced I with expanded kayak racks and gear. My area has several locally owned fishing shops that are top notch and incredibly well stocked, and an Academy, so it is no big loss, except for the random deals and ability to return online order stuff to DSG locally. My local DSG was really oddly stocked too, lots of big surf casting equipment, despite no where to use it without a half day drive. It seemed more like a placeholder. No F&S anywhere around either, so it’s a complete loss in this market.

Our DSG removed the hunting section, moved the kayaks/canoes there, and actually added a couple rows of fishing gear.

 

With the closest Cabelas being 40 minutes away, Scheels 30 minutes and Sportsmans Warehouse 40-50 minutes, our DSG I think is going to keep the fishing section. Local shop 10 minutes from DSG is small and mainly caters to the walleye/northern crowd.

Luckily our DSG is still fully stocked with fishing gear...we're talking 6 double aisles of rods, reels, lures and terminal tackle. Hopefully it'll stay that way as there's really nothing else around for a 100 miles (other than a couple small mom & pop type stores with limited selections) as far as fishing gear goes!

My Dicks completely stopped fishing gear, can't find a hook no where. Never did buy much from Dicks, Academy is just 3 minutes away.

You're lucky regarding Academy. I wish they would expand up here into New England!!! I'm sick of the over-inflated prices of DSG and BassPro.
