Edited again because it's not working with Shimano for me. I've tried both rods and reels.

I actually went all the way to final step and it's not applying the discount, tried a Shimano reel and a rod two separate times.

Odd. Definitely worked for me. Might have to actually place the order? Took a screen shot of my paypal transactions: first is the expride which is 269.99 2nd is the slx dc, 2nd day shipping, and a 14 dollar spool of braid

Don't quote me or anything but I THINK you do not actually see the discount until AFTER you purchase and you go in and look at it. Annoying if you are trying to figure out your exact amount before making a purchase.

You do have to place the order, it will show on your confirmation email.  This is the usual process on any TW Sale for Shimano and Daiwa products.

This is exactly how it works and comes up every time there is a TW sale.  You will not see the discount in cart or anywhere until after you order and get the confirmation email.  I've ordered numerous shimano reels in the past and the sale discount is applied.

 

Yes, it's odd.  Yes, it scares some people away.  No, TW will not screw you over. If they don't give you a discount on the MB/AFTCO/Loomis/Shimano thing you ordered, just email or call them and cancel it.

My walmart finds this year have been a little down. I did get a larger shad rap for 2.48, rapala braid scissors for 75 cents and 3 tubes of Liquid Mayhem for 3.30. I passed on the 4 packs of SK gurgle toad plastics that were 70 and 80 cents depending on the color. Had them scanned hoping they were cheaper like others have seen but no go so passed.

Outletbait has booyah boo rigs for $1 a piece. They are like miniature a-rigs. Might have to type boo rig in the search bar. Bought A bunch.
