The victory I bought was listed at 190 and was 152 on the order email so it got the 20% off. I did confirm via the live chat this was the case before I submitted the order. I got my order in around 1:40 and got the email right away. I think I got lucky and caught it before everyone realized it was happening.

I ordered a St Croix Victory and got 20% off on my invoice.

I’m not real happy with tackle warehouse too. I ordered around $1000 from them last year. No heads up Email. Outside of special sales, TW prices are usually not lower than other places.

 

I was already buying things elsewhere locally and online because TW did not have what I wanted and shipping was ridiculously slow. I did manage to order $100 of things I wanted but also ordered some rage baits from sieberts because tw did not have the colors I wanted. Sieberts order will arrive today and I ordered that Sunday night. Shipping from Missouri to TN.

Are any stores price matching the TW discount on Shimano rods? The one I want is out of stock.

Not sure how they’d price match since the discount isn’t advertised on Shimano. What rod are you looking for specifically? I bet I’ve visited just about every online tackle store on the planet in the last couple weeks lol.

 I know for sure some of the JDM sites had some in stock - maybe Japan Lure Shop. I will keep my eyes open and will drop a note here if I see one. 

Am I missing something this year or did all the sales seem a little lighter? I am not complaining because my selection this year was on at least a 20% of at TW or ALF. Just noticed TW had way less brands at an extra 10% off, DSG hasn't done a free shipping deal yet below 50 or put much fishing on sale (father in law is getting my gifts from there) and the two shops that were my backup if TW didn't discount St. Croix products did 10% instead of 20% like last year. Did others notice the same?

It has been pretty light. Even Scheels BF sale is scarce in fishing gear, and most of that is clothing or ice-fishing stuff.

I’m considering myself lucky this year as I’m not really searching for anything just casually looking. For what it’s worth (not much I know) I came across a favorite “Lit” reel for $30.00 which is by far cheaper than anywhere else still available at “Dicks Sporting Goods” I grabbed one along with a  “Soleus” reel no longer available after putting a Shimano “Caius B” combo in my cart Wednesday night  only to find it removed and sold out on Thursday. Again I’m looking to replace 2 reels for casual fishing so I’m not in need of Daiwa/Shimano quality.

Jades Jigs is doing 30% off on their site through Monday the 29th 11:59 PM. No code needed. Their free shipping threshold is at 25$ which is really nice when ordering jigs. 
 

These are really nice lead alternative Ned heads and mushroom head jigs. They do run lighter due to the material, but work really well. I am not associated with them other than being a really happy customer.
