This is a house my Son in Law is building on the Lake.  It's only $1.2 million for the construction.   It's also got a pool and a ~2000 square foot pool house.    I don't know how much the land cost.  The guy having it built owns a bunch of convenience stores.   

 

Still needs a patio and pool; dock and boat house and a few boats & toys.

It's got a pool.  There's also 2 docks under construction.  My Son in law isn't building the docks.  It's on a corner.  My son in law is building concrete steps from the house to the docks.  The steps, and docks are to the right of the first picture and the left of the second.   A few weeks ago my Grandson "caught" me laying out of work and fishing.  He texted me this picture saying "you aren't working today".   He's got good eyes to see that it's me all the way from the construction site.

Went for a hike with my wife, girls and my oldest's bf. Great to see all the water, snow and green for this part of the summer when it's usually pretty dry and yellow.

I’m building an outdoor fireplace and patio at my current project. This morning I found the quickest way in the world to completely soak a shirt, other than jumping in the lake. The trick is to wheel about 12 of these approx 75 yds ?

I'm learning how to talk to my teenage daughter in a language she understands.

My wife and I both work at the police department. She’s a detective, I’m in narcotics. I was at my desk yesterday and she was down the hall doing something. I got up to leave and later when I came back I had this on my desk.

So I've been bringing this up a lot by my standards of "suffer in silence, man" standards. So forgive me for doing so once more. Last night I was talking to my 14 year old daughter on the phone, and at some point she spoke about Father's Day. The date was 7-12-23. I said, "It's already been Father's Day?." And she replied by explaining what we did and the message she sent me. This happened because of my Schizophrenia. I suffer badly from what they deem as "cognitive impairment" even though the illness doesn't cause retardation and many of us have extremely high IQs. It's a fancy term for something we can't yet explain. I simply say, "it's not retardation and it's not depression; his disease takes something from us that's different altogether that we don't yet have a word and definition for."

 

Sometimes it's almost like dementia. It's very weird. I'm only in my mid 30s. Anyways, that reminded me brain that my daughter sent something sweet to me on Father's Day.

My wife and I saw Clint Black last night. Good show.

 

6poundbass had a birthday on 7/2. He took his B-day money and bought himself a used tree stand. He also bought the safety harness with his B-money. 
 

 

Day two:

 

We moved his target into the woods and cut a trail and now he’s getting a feel for shooting out of a tree stand.
