Are bass line shy to BRAID?

A simple YES or NO is all that's needed ?

REMEMBER EVERYONE:

when bad are finicky in pre-spawn, then why does an Alabama-rig work so good??? ?

    If I'm throwing a Mega-Bass jerkbait, I don't care.  I'm using 90lb braid with a barbed wire leader.

Moving school of baitfish the bass focus isn’t on line. Line diameter affecting lure performance far exceeds transparency. Simple answer NO! Tom

This is it...I think the lines affect on the lure far outweighs the lines visibility.

If they're skittish for some reason - bright colors (Hi-Vis line) could make them more wary...but otherwise no.

As Tom says, this is the biggie. Too many people put too large a line on for the technique they're doing. Go as light/thin as possible.

This debate reminds me of the scene in Bull Durham where Susan Sarandon barges into Kevin Costner’s hotel room.

He ultimately tells her that if you think you’re winning cause you wear women’s underwear or breathe through your eyelids...then you are.

No but I use a leader just in case I am wrong. ?

Mmm. Speed clips.

No, but never tried it with largies. Smallies straight up don't give a darn where I fish (I have left my leader at home more than once and they still ate).

Until you ask one...and receive a reply....I'm going with....don't know....don't care

Sometimes.

in minnesota with all the pike i am using 80lb seguar for jigs tied directly and a clip and swivel to mainline. I use topwaters the same way but with clips and no problems with catching bass and of course pike.

This should be the standard reply to many questions asked on this forum.
