Yup. Been raining here for a week with only Monday a break in the weather at a favorite lake...unfortunately Monday is the 4th and the lake is bound to be even more crowded than for a usual weekend/holiday ?

Well, Pickwick is jumping! Not worth a nickle for fishing this weekend, but if you

like watching drunk women partying without their shirts on, it is entertaining!

A bunch of drunk rednecks with 250-300 HP on their tails in Gestation Nation? No thanks.

I’m hoping to be on the water at daybreak. Hoping for a good frog bite early, then we’ll see what happens.

My home lake is an afternoon lake for the other fishermen usually…

Brah, I am staying in home, waking up 3:30AM Tuesday and meet a friend 6:30AM beside water to fish all day :)

Don't have to travel for that - Minnetonka is like that every nice weekend in the summer.

Course the crazies are out too - so the F-9 is 'beached' until at least Tuesday.

Not another soul on the lake this morning. Rain keeps riff raff off the lake, even on a major holiday weekend.

Had the lake pretty much to myself this early morning.  First waterskier not until about 10:15.  Jetskis appeared a little after 11.  I quit at noon and it's been nuts out there since.  The party across the lake from us is so loud that I have to raise my voice to talk to my wife five feet away.  She rather likes the live music and the sounds of people having fun.  I'm just glad it's only a couple few times a year.

Plan to hit up my local lake early tomorrow... Hopefully before 6 and fish until everybody in the campground wakes up and stumbles outside hungover.

Bunch of wimps. My mom kayaked across the lake today and she’s almost 70

I canoe’d across a two acre pond yesterday and I’m almost 23.

Please, no applause is necessary.

I got unto a bay full of gar last week and just peddled on past.   I don't enjoy hooking up with them in a kayak.  The fight is fun, but getting them off is more trouble than it is worth....for me.
