Favorite spinnerbaits?

Featured Replies

Time to restock on some spinnerbaits. Man they’ve gotten expensive… 9.99…12.99…19.99?!

What are your favorite spinnerbaits that don’t break the bank?

I bet everyone is getting tired of me saying this….Walmart brand. $1.25…. They have a lot of different colors and blades. You just have to keep checking when you go. One time it will be willow blades, awhile later it be Colorado blades.

You can stop by the arts and craft department and get different color beads if ya want to jazz them up.

Ozark trail has their brand out now too, I think they are $2 +.

was at Walmart checking out their spinnerbaits :)

The walmart brand is like 1/4oz which is a no deal as someone might want 1/2oz instead.

When he has them in stock I like Battlebaits. For the Micro spinnerbaits his Minigun is unbeatable. (Problem is, his stuff is so popular he sells out soon as he makes a drop on his website). My backup company is 911 custom lures and they are local here to NC. Their hidden weight spinnerbait is amazing. If you're not a custom bait kind of person the Booyah "Pond magic" micro spinnerbait is the best mass produced on the market available at Walmart and the War Eagle spinnerbaits just simply work also available at Walmart.

Terminator

Specifically the discontinued T1. Really hard to find though.

I cannot use a cheap version where I fish because of northern pike. One heavy assault by a snot rocket and the frame is bent, rendering it useless.

Have you tried the new Picasso Titanium? Very nice, but dang I don't remember paying that price when they came out. But they last. Has a swinging head on it. Also comes in other blades and without the swinging head.

I haven't tried that one.

Right now I've got enough of a stock pile on Terminators so I don't really need to buy more, but at some point I'll need to consider another brand.

I think I have 5 in my spinnerbait box right now and 5 more that are unopened in the packaging.

The OP is looking for versions that "don't break the bank" so I'm not sure what we're discussing here helps his cause lol

That’s interesting…. All mine are 1/2 oz… I wonder if it is area specific…. Are we talking about the same ones? Bottom shelf pig piled in boxes.

Mostly Terminators but over the last few years I agree with @A-Jay, the Siebert’s are outstanding and he will make about any combo you may want in arm length, blades, head and skirt.

Now by far my favorites.

Haha, good point. Got lost in translation.

Anyways, I happen to have a new in package Picasso I just linked in chart/white 3/8 oz conveniently sitting on my desk right now if anyone would like to try one. Just PM me your address and I'll try to get it out to you ASAP.

I once asked a Hispanic fellow what his favorite tequilla was. He replied "They all get you drunk." Thats how I feel about spinnerbaits. They all get you bit.

Yeah but some tequilas are nice and smooth for sippin, others not so much.

Strike king and terminator before they got discontinued/were a decent price.

Sounds like Siebert would be the way to go based your parameters.

IMG_1638.jpegNew KVD Strikeking Elite at Bass pro shops or War Eagle. Bass Pro also has a Brawler model thats a good thumper for around 6 bucks

Megabass SV-3

I definitely think you are better off buying a high quality spinnerbaits. I used to buy the cheap ones and it was like I spent as much time tuning as I did fishing them.

Thanks all, will give sieberts a try.

There are a bunch of good to very good spinnerbaits out there. What I like about Sieberts is Mike’s variety, quality and durability. His skirt options are impressive and Mike offers wire tied skirts. The Cosmic, Compact and new Tungsten are all winners and affordable.

but if you are referring to the Ozark Trail's as Walmart - then this is the one.
