I hope it makes sense. Sorry I meant the most recent Metanium DC from 2018 I believe. Thanks for the insight though!
Super User bulldog1935 Posted August 18 Super User Share Posted August 18 It's green. The reel is Isuzu BC620SSS synchro reel (4500C size) finished for Headhunters lure shop. The rod is 6'4" Bright River S-glass 1/4 to 1 oz, wrapped in Headhunter green. While this will get some bass time, my real target for it is close leading redfish backs in mud marshes. ps - setting this up over the weekend, no words for how this combo skip casts. After setting my mag brake, made reverse spiral skips under all the wild shrubs around my casting clearing. Every cast against the roots, and the mag was set right - no backlash the couple of times I skipped on the grass.

Very nice!
Super User bulldog1935 Posted August 21 Super User Share Posted August 21 Thanks @Big-Bass Headhunters wasn't shy about copying Langley Target freespool. The result is very tasteful compared to many of their green offerings. Sad thing about this, it's the only way you can currently get a new Robelson lightweight composite rod handle. ps - since this will always be on a kayak, I made a rod-leash quick-release for it.

PixInTheSix
Loooong time lurker, I decided it's high time I logged in and contributed something. Here are a few frames I shot recently of some of my gear which includes a stable full of Team Daiwa TD-X baitcasters and some Shimano Sustain & Stradic spinning reels (almost) all exclusively paired with Castaway rods out of Texas.
PourMyOwn
@PixInTheSix, wow! Love those TD-X reels- I also have a fleet of them, but few of mine are as clean as yours!

Nice. I thought those TD-S, X, snd Z looked futuristic at the time. I like my '16-'19 Zillions and will be showing them off in 20 years when they will be cool again 😎
NJBasstard
Got tired of half my combos being leaned against the wall so I put together another rod rack a few nights ago
newapti5
Finally got a chance to give this used Aldebaran 51 a deep clean. For $118 to-my-door, it's in really great shape. But the cleaning process was such a pain in the butt, not because it's dirty but because there're some many extra and small parts that need attention, way more than other Shimano reels. Some of the designs I like and some I don't, but I can definitely tell how Shimano is trying everything to shed a gram or two, while keeping the reel as sturdy and smooth as possible.

Knowing how fragile the finish on these reels is, I've just always made a point to be sure they sit reel up on the deck because as we all know, boat carpet is like sandpaper.
Eric 26
I was gifted this very cool reel this week by one of our members on here. I’m sure many of you will know who I’m referring to when you see the photos and realize the reel is a pimped out Tica Cetus SS 500😉 Thanks again my friend.

newapti5
For $60 to-my-door, this TD-Z is in better shape than I thought. It'll be my winter project - change the plastic front piece, order a gear set from Tackle Trap, maybe change the drag star and handle, etc. I can't help but wonder, how did @evo2s197 repaint its main frame?
