Log Catcher

High temp on Christmas day was 18 with a wind chill near 0 making this the 4th coldest Christmas day on record. Also have about 2" of snow on the ground. I wish you northern guys would keep you lousy cold snowy weather up north. P.S. Looks like @A-Jay needs to come down here and get the snow he is missing.

My dad worked for the water company and we lived on water co. property. We had three lakes there to fish. The first fish I caught was around 1957 or 58. A bream on a cane pole fishing with a bobber and a worm. This was the first time my dad took me fishing to teach me how to fish. If we fished out of a boat we had to go with someone else as we never owned a boat. I don't have any idea about how or when I caught my first bass.

We are supposed to have 40 to 50 MPH winds tomorrow with a high in the upper 50s. Then getting rain and changing to snow tomorrow night in to Thursday. Not sure yet how much we are supposed to get. Then one of the coldest Christmas days on record for us here.

We will probably lose our Sportsmans Warehouse since there is a Cabelas store less than 2 miles away. Sportsmans had some high prices but they did carry some brands BPS wouldn't. I could get SPRO and 6th Sense baits and I'm sure there are others they have that BPS won't carry.

Would you please quit giving away secrets. The Middle N in the old ones have been great baits. I don't know if they have been changed any since Pradco bought them out.

In no particular order. Chocolate, Lemon, Apple, and Peach. If you go for cobbler it has to be peach or blackberry.

You are right. Rick Clunn said the amount of vibration had to be right in relation to the size of the bait. This was about 20 years ago he told me that. He also said willow leaf blades were designed for fishing in grass but most of the time you were better off with Colorado blades.

Mine has a 16 gallon tank and I usually fill it up when getting gas. A fellow I worked with bought a Ranger with around a 225HP on it. I asked him how big the gas tank was on it. He said it had two 26 gallon tanks. On to get you there and one to get you back.

Many years ago I got to see Rick Clunn do a fishing seminar and demo in the Hawg Trough at a boat show and got to talk to him for a few minutes. He said the blades had to be properly sized in order to put out the right vibration. If they aren't right fish usually won't hit them.

Ned Rig, wacky rig, Rattle Trap, Hula Popper, drop shot, and a rare day when I catch one on a Chatter Bait. Never caught anything on Yum soft plastics I tried years ago.

Does anyone know if we can take showers yet or should we just keep washing our hands? 8. This virus has done what no woman could do. Cancel sports, shut down all bars and keep men at home. 9. I never thought the comment, I wouldn't touch someone with a 6' pole would become a national policy, but here we are. 10. I need to practice social distancing from the refrigerator. 11. I hope the weather is good tomorrow for my trip to the back yard. I'm getting tired of the living room. 12. Glad you were able to get out and catch one. That over run looks like you took casting lessons from me.

I am usually casting by logs trying to catch fish. The logs are what I usually catch. Actually it was the only thing I could come up with that wasn't already taken.

I don't have Firefox on my computer. I use Google Chrome. I did change the settings to not clear the cookies. I do have third party cookies blocked. I will probably get the email from this login but hopefully I won't get one when I log in tonight.

I always try to match the jig and trailer colors. The only thing in which trailer I use is the water temp and how much action it has.
