Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)

Has purchasing JDM changed with all the economic/tariff changes?

The US dollar has fallen correct? Which means are purchasing power has diminished right?

LOL, I'm not an economist.

Just wondering if the advantages of buying JDM have changed, for the better or worse.

PLEASE DON'T TURN THIS INTO POLITICS.

Thanks!

As long as JDM is cheaper, it's an advantage. 🤷‍♂️

Well true.

I've always gone through Japan Lure Shop and there's always been a fee for the currency exchange or something. I didn't know if I would get socked extra now? IDK (obviously).  LOL

Cashed in a few Amazon rewards bucks, 9 of my favorite football jigs for $5 and change. Happy to see these again after they vanished from TW.

$700 worth of Raid stuff for only $100 from The Hook Up Tackle. Easter bundle.

Guess I’m going to learn how to catch bass on bladed jigs this year  …or at least the tackle box will look good trying - lol

Couldn't pass up the $5 bagleys, and a chance to grab more of the newly discovered Pro Sunny B and sunny MD.  Grabbed 2 Duo Apex 66's and 55's to try.  The Apex 66 has a killer 'soft' one-knocker rattle that is sure to work.

Nice haul and hey the dude wipes are the icing on the cake….or a way to clean the icing from the cake😜

Went over to Myrtle Beach today. Hit up Bass Pro and Palmetto State Armory…IMG_9672.jpeg.769f4ddb79e500a5a2c40d01d10929df.jpeg

I gotta say - I do not hate you right now Mr Bait Monkey. Well played sir, well played.

He talked me into the BKK hook organization stuff. This is stupid awesome and satisfying! I didn’t get the fully loaded one, but picked up the “starter kit” at sportsman’s warehouse today. It is the box, 20 M boxes and 8 small boxes (with labels). I also bought hooks to go in boxes as well as packaged hooks. The packages of hooks (the majority of them) already come in boxes that are labeled. You are provided with labels for blank boxes. Blanks are sold in a 5 pack for $4.99 either size.

Pricey, yeah. Good quality hooks? Yeah. I want to hire BKK to come organize my head this way…

Picked up a Bento Box from The Hook Up Tackle and man what a ton of stuff for $100.

I have a few packs of dice. With the way they last, I shouldn't have to buy them again.  The last one I used lasted about 20-30 fish before I got it snagged and I lost it.

All good stuff here except maybe the OSP Blitz Magnum EX DR.  I've caught fish with them but they get down to 30 feet easy and I don't fish that deep very often.

The HideUp Coike should be interesting.  I saw a guy last year kill them fishing this thing as a topwater bait. There is also 20 of my favorite BSF jigs.  I think i was getting these from Japan for around $5 each so there is $100 right there.

Mother's Day Bento on the way as well.  🎣 🐵

Another good day at the flea market. The spinnerbait box is actually from Bass Pro. Needed a new one since I didn't have any room for all my new buzzbaits. Guy had a whole 3700 box full of buzzbaits. I took every one he had for 2 bucks apiece. Found Nessies in all sizes in pearl for 6 bucks apiece. Bronco bugs I had to pay 5 apiece for but still cheaper than the store. Boo-Yah Pad Crasher for 5 bucks and some baits from a local guy(Line Hound Tackle Co.) just starting out for 5 bucks(I try to buy at least a pack of something from the local guys to support them)

The Monkey got lucky with this one. You don't hear the name Revonik in the US often but they are definitely unique and well made.

Kittery got me....although heading to a lake that supposedly has yellow perch, so I had an excuse to get that colorway!

I needed some hooks, made an order with Tackle Warehouse and ended up with way more than enough for free shipping.  Clicked on Sieberts Website and the Monkey got me again.  The sad part is I didn't even need hooks.  I hope the spinnerbait catches bass as easy as it caught me.  The color got me.

Pretty pumped about this new set up.

I’m blown away with how small this reel is.

sorry if this is not the place to ask but are these bagleys close to the old rare squarebill ones

The older, sought after model B1 and B2's are more bulbous/wider profile than the Pro Sunny B or current B1 or B2.  Pro Sunny B id fire though...thumps hard/moves water.

This is the absolute best shakey head worm on the planet the SMH worm. Finally ran out and had to replenish. They are tougher than they look. One pack will usually last me a worm a trip. I put one on in the morning when I start and it will literally last me all day. Really a pain to put on corkscrew type shakey heads due to the toughness of the elasticky whatever it is. but ball head type shakeys work great! Also designed by a Hartwell local Brian Latimer!

These are great worms I just discovered last year. I’ve been using them on 1/10 or 1/8 oz bulletz jig heads by Zman. They are easy to rig and it’s a great lil shakey head setup.
