Those Nomads have my interest as well. Seen a few ads & watched couple videos. Let me know how they perform.

Btw, think I have same exact kitchen countertops in my house. 😁

I do not have those particular baits, but I have a Nomad swimbait that I use in the surf for bluefish. It has a great action and is extremely durable. Pretty sure they use the bigger ones for GTs down in Australia, so they are overengineered for a lot of North American species.

Grabbed a couple of those myself. What are you gonna throw them on. Might finally be my excuse to grab a dc 706 cb

Picked up more Mycena hair/silicone hybrid finesse jigs from Ali-X.  Very sharp hooks on these.  They come in 7g and 10g.

Not sure yet. I tossed it a few times at my friends pond the other day on my SLX heavy 2 - 8 oz with my Scorpion 300 MD. Cast fine but the rods a bit too stout.

May try my Orochi Leviathan and Calcutta Conguest MD

Little spring essentials restock. Temps are supposed to be in the 70s by the weekend, I can feel the bass wanting to bite.

We are getting close.  I’m really jazzed about Sieberts Cosmic Orange spinnerbaits and Mike’s living rubber flipping jigs.  I bought Diawa Tatula SV TW in left hand for my granddaughter to use. Good times are ahead!

So I decided to down side my jig rod after a previous post on jig rods. My Wife on Valentine’s Day, decided to get me a new fishing pole to replace the one jig rod that was broken on a previous fishing outing.
It’s a Lews custom lite rod that is 7’6” medium heavy with fast action. It came in today so I’m excited about using it which if all goes according to plan I’ll be fishing this coming Tuesday 😁

Ps not sure if the photos will come out 😬

I grew up on a Fenwick 6'6" 2 piece Fiberglass that was given to me when I was about 13(Zebco202 B4 that)..it already had years of use, but I caught some big fish on it...I finally remember pairing it with a Penn 450...which is REALLY HEAVY by today's standard..then used a Penn 4500SS to curb the weight some...

This is where we lived back then.....

I replaced all the guides by hand with 2 color thread and 2 wraps of slow epoxy on the wraps...

I used a rotisserie to do this.

The cork was never replaced, so I gave up, and bought a Medium 6'6" Ugly Stick(long handle), which BTW, still works fine today 40years later....but it's heavy(5.5 according to a new scale, figured it would be worse)..it was really the 14+oz of the 4500 Penn reel.

We didn't have Small braid back then .

I bought an Avid X 7' 2 piece M rod(Like $225-250) with a Stradic CI4+, and I hated it... I couldn't hit my spots or yank out fish like my heavy ass ancient US/Penn...

Reel had too much flex in the stem. Loved it on the couch.

I gave that SETUP to my BIL, who's never had a good rod in his life, he's a worm guy, he's going to be SHOCKED at what he feels .

I bought 2 new rigs,  Fenwick Elite 7' 2piece(need) MH S( sale- $97) with a Stradic 2500 FM, I never liked that CI4+, Felt flimsy, I'll give the OZ in weight for difference in strength.

And  a KastKing Perigee ii 2 piece, with M and MH Tips(I'll use M tip because of the Fenwick MH) with a Daiawa Procyon 2000D for $112.

I need to be able to collapse rods for Travel, I don't have a boat to throw them on, and I've caught plenty of big girls on 2PC.

I Also bought a soft case for my 3 rods/reels I'll use a towel between all the pieces when traveling....I broke that Avid X while tossing a golf bag in the bed of the truck, that US has been in at least probably 8 different vehicles, and is still fine...wish it was sensitive.

Hoping to get started well soon!

Bought a few smaller spinnerbaits(like 1/4-3/8 single blade- savior some days), and small flukes, I usually fish bottom then top... Smallish swimbaits might work, I've never fished a small swimbait in the middle of the water column.

I generally fish 5" Senkos, to 13" worms(5-7lb fish caught) over the years...but you'd better be ready, with those Biggins, or you will miss.

My last 13" worm was destroyed catching a 5+, I need to source more, which I haven't done yet(It was a Black Curly Manns, not even sure if they are still around)dunno why,  probably because I don't fish as much these days.

Mann's had the paddle tail, it was Decades B4 others, and I still have some 9" Grape that just work better than new stuff....I bought them in 25 whatever weight pouch 40 years ago..I only have a few left in Ziploc bags unfortunately.

I caught fish on the 9" last year, guess fish didn't get the memo.

I've procured a few small spinners/baits, A handful of small/medium size swimbaits, some smaller craws, some smaller jigs(I have 3/8-1/2 oz currently ).

When I bought my (E/Old)stuff, I was digging for nothing but HUGE Bass and Pike/Muskie.

Now I just want to catch FISH! 😂

More AliX goodies.  These are EKfan knobs for Daiwa.  Come with bearings, too!

Academy doing 75% off of their clearance right now. Snagged a 6" Magdraft for $3.74, a CrossEyez bladed jig that must not be named for $2.49, a Quake 70 for $1.99, and then two Waterloo 6'9" medium/moderate-fast casting rods for $23.74 each.

Good looking baits. Brand? They look fat, are they flat sided?

Not really flat sides but a whole different style of rattle bait.

"Instead of relying on the shape of the head to produce the desired action (which requires a lot of water resistance to kick-start), the VIBRATION-X ULTRA utilizes internal balancers that activate action instantly. This system focuses on the tension between balance/imbalance as the driving force behind the tight action necessary to create vibration."

The bigger baits is the Megabass Vibration-X Ultra Rattle Lipless Crankbait at 5/8

and the smaller 1/2 oz bait is the Megabass Vibration-X Smatra Rattle Lipless Crankbait.

I plus sized the trebles a bit and changed out the line tie & split rings

New to me.

I have been having fun getting bites on a vibrating jig in most of the same places I was using the lipless baits, before vibrating jigs were a thing, I sort of got away from throwing the lipless.  I picked these up to sort of jump start or get me re-interested in throwing a rattle bait again. Expect the design to be killer on the fall, especially on a tight line.

So we'll see how it goes.

  They look killer in hand.
