Sweet!  The Grass Piece is even more scarce than the bladed jig was when it was first released.

Took advantage of the Tackle Warehouse bargain bin sale and bought me a box full o' stuff. Although I must admit the pulse fishing scrounger and Picasso Rhino shaky heads werent on sale. lol

TW Bargain Bin haul. Shoulda got more, but the dollars were adding up fast, and I figured I should probably quit before the Bait Monkey totally destroyed our monthly budget. 😅

They had a yellow and white Scum Frog trophy series that I really wanted, but I went out and looked at all the hollow body frogs that I don't use hardly ever, and decided against it. I went back again to look, and I don't see it any more in any of the bins anymore. 

 

 

 

Among some other replenishment items from the TW sale, I got:

 

Smash Tech 7" gizzard shad line through. Looks just like the one I saw floating on the water the other day. 

And a pack of 10" Lunker City Fin-S-Fish

Both of these are kinda standard, just really big. We will see... these big fish on my lake really like munching gizzard shad presentations so I'm trying all kinds of stuff. 

 

I found some bass pro egg wake crankbaits today at BPS. I bought all 5 colors they had. Probably will go back and buy more tomorrow.

 

Also picked up a package of SK tumbleweeds from Academy this am and a Whopper Plopper 60 from Academy last night. 

I went to the states for a week to visit family.  My wife tied the Bait Monkey up and wouldn't untie him until my plane had taken off.  Without my fury buddy along, I only bought a few items.  I still can't believe I was in the land of plenty for a week and brought home so little tackle.  I guess I should be proud of myself, but I am positive I will regret leaving the Monkey behind.

 

The bladed jigs were gifted to me by a Bass Resource member RRocket.  I thought he was going to send me one to try, but he sent 6 and they are very well made.  I can't wait to give them a try.  A big thanks to RRocket for such generosity. 

 

With super human restraint on my part, I left WA with -

As I stated yesterday, I went back to BPS today and bought 20 eggs. 4 of each color. A kid and his grandpa were commenting about them

Hit the TW $5 bin for the Bill Lowen finesse football jigheads- 3/0 light gammy hook + wire keeper is ideal.  Better than keitech imo.  Snagged a couple Angler Asset 3/8oz spinners and 3 Catch Co Tight Rope 1/4oz 'bite getter' spinners. D&M buzzbait for good measure.

 

 

 

 

Another pretty good day at the flea. 2 dollar packs of Z man baits mostly TRD and big TRD and 2 5 dollar Rapala DT16s and a DT20 all in some form of bluegill color(Which I have been meaning to grab anyways since most of my cranks are shad or herring patterned)

Woke up this morning and wife said “I’ve got to go to Birmingham today. Do you want to drive me down there?” “Yep. Been wanting to go back to Marks Outdoors for a bit and never had a reason to drive the hour 45 it takes to get there.”  So, I stopped in there today. Monkey on my shoulder saying “spend money on JDM baits turd”. Ok. I needed some trailers for my grass pieces, and Marks would be the best bet “locally” for some sakamata shad in a wakasagi colorway, but they didn’t. Anyway, I bought some stuff today. Also had a TW order come in while I was at Marks, so it was a doubly good day!

I have not thrown bigger glides/swimbaits lately because I’m tired of carrying around my 7’10 on my kayak. So, I bought the Shimano SLX 7’3 MH to try out.

 

Next, I needed some terminal and accessories. I swear I could spend more time looking at and admiring terminal than anything else. I have no idea why…anyway…

Weird bladed jig from Imakatau- called the Magulla moth chatter wing dragon. At first glance, it looks like a std bladed jig. But, it has 2 arms coming up that have screw lock on them for trailers. Apparently, some

japanese guy got his umbrella rig tied in with his bladed jig and poof - idea born. Really excited to try that one out…

I think I may return to Huntsville, Alabama and open a tackle shop.
