This is the absolute best shakey head worm on the planet the SMH worm. Finally ran out and had to replenish. They are tougher than they look. One pack will usually last me a worm a trip. I put one on in the morning when I start and it will literally last me all day. Really a pain to put on corkscrew type shakey heads due to the toughness of the elasticky whatever it is. but ball head type shakeys work great! Also designed by a Hartwell local Brian Latimer!

Yeah I like these a lot. I fish them on the jig head Z-Man designed for them. Z-Man SMH Shaking My Head Jig Head.

Who has the best Memorial Day sales going on?

So far I'd say Copperstate and The Hookup Tackle, both running 20% off. Another site we can't name again apparently has 20% off most stuff with code. They also have 50% off a lot of the Zoom products. Hopefully you can figure out the site..

Omnia has 20% pro credits for everything right now I believe. You’ve got to have the premium subscription.

Discount Tackle’s sale varies from 30%-20% which varies by company. No code required

Pretty pumped about this new set up.

I’m blown away with how small this reel is.

I have the same reel on a Megabass P5 ZCrank Elseil and use it for jerkbaits and small cranks. It's amazing to say the least.

It was also the only rig that I could get a bass to bite today. I must have caught 30-40 crappie, two big catfish, 5 white bass, and 7 warmouths on other crankbaits and BFS minnows but no bass on a jig, senko, or paddle tail swimbait. For whatever reason, they would only eat a jerkbait. It was a pretty weird day.

I had the same issue but I couldn’t catch a smallie.  At one point I was catching white bass on every cast on two different points.  And a spot where I caught 3 channel cats on 3 consecutive casts.  It was an odd evening but the new combo got a lot of work so it was a lot of fun.

Season end here, winter is coming. Time to update my equipment.

This one is for @Swamp Girl . Her comment on poppers was in my head and I came across this guy. Kind of a nostalgia buy also, my father had this in his box and I used to love throwing it. If I recall it performed well so figured I'd pick it up.

Digitaka got me again!
I liked the CC shallow edition so much I decided to grab a 101.  I used to fish the Ambassadeur reels a lot when I was younger and I’m blown away how small these Calcuttas are compared the older Abus

Have you fished the bellows stick yet? Just picked up a pack on Saturday…haven’t tried them yet..

I haven’t fished the stick yet but I’ve fished the bellows shad and it was great other then cost vs durability.  Getting these for almost half the price from Japan helps the value aspect of it for sure.  I’ve been looking for a heavily ribbed worm as all the old school options are nonexistent.

I just dropped my son off at the Atlanta Airport for a 3 week Japan trip. I’m jealous, but my bday and Father’s Day fall in while he’s gone, so I’m gonna do some shopping vicariously through him!

I told myself I would never buy expensive bladed jigs. Well I bought a few jackhammers on sale and now I bought a few more. I think my outings just got a little more expensive. They work pretty good too.

Have you fished the OG- the Grandebass Rattlesnake?

They came out around '04 and I feel like they didn't get enough attention.  Geecrack made a whole line of baits around the concept.

I don't know why I ever went away from these. I used to have one tied on at all times. They'd catch fish when nothing else would.

I didn’t even know those were a thing.  I’ll grab some to try out.  They look great

Received some JDM goodies.  Reel & baits came from Backlash Tackle, a new to me shop thst has a website that doesn't update when they sell something, because this is less than half of what I ordered.  Got a new email saying 11 items I ordered were out of stock.  Oh well...the Bottom Up Breavor worms caught my eye.  They are like a long skinny Larew 'Tattletail' worm.  All the Chibeebles I ordered were OOS

I got my Father's Day gift earlier than expected.  My wife somehow knew exactly what to get.

One of the best Bento Boxes ever. The Toyo Megabass box is really cool and it just has a ton of good stuff.

Bought what I hope is a lifetime supply of fluke sticks from Academy.  This seems to be the last Zoom bait they have with pre-pandemic price ($3.29...msrp is currently $5.99).  Get on the Academy email list...they do 20% off a couple times a month and you get an extra 5% off when using your Academy cc.  Got me 40 bags @ $2.46 a bag.

I don’t have pics yet, but the bait monkey, my son and I were on a 3-way FaceTime call last night. I was in AL, my son was in Osaka. He went to Bun Bun there which is apparently the largest tackle store in Osaka. I spent a couple of dollars there via video. I pick him up from the airport on Saturday, so hopefully I’ll post pics on Sunday. I know for certain you will see a pic of some grass pieces and sakamata shads.
