Edge rods has a crazy 60% off for “Insiders list only” which is weird I got the email since I’ve never bought anything from them. 
 

Well I just couldn’t turn that deal down as I’ve been intrigued by them for a while.  
 

Pulled the trigger on an Epitome MBR-725-1…. $499 original price that I got for just over $200 to my door.

 

Now I wait for god knows how long 🤣

Ok, I can give you a hint on your wait. I just got a notice my three Edge rods will be delivered tomorrow,,,,after FIVE MONTHS!!

 

Order in April, went to “production” end of May and shipped two weeks ago. They were “lost” in the USPS ether, resulting in filing a “lost mail” search and four days later I received a delivery notice.

 

I’m not familiar with them either but sure hope the wait is worth the cast!

 

I would suspect your delivery in January, maybe.

I have a 735-1 MBR that’s spinning and it’s said it’s a MH but it’s incredibly stout.. definitely a heavy but I use it in the Gulf and on Cumberland lake when I go.. 

 

I have a 14 rods all made in Woodland, Washington. I’ve recently been buying rods from Talon who builds them on Brad Loomis’s blanks. Patriot is his blank company. They are quite nice. Heck they are all just blocks from each other 🤣Talon is most all ocean and river stuff but they’re building more bass type rods..

Yeah, don’t mean to depress you, just giving an honest estimate. Forget about them and they’ll show up eventually.

Wow...that really is a great deal.  Rod is a feather and gets great feedback.  FYI- I think being an 'insider' means you are on their mailing list.

Orochi X10 Super Elseil

 

Bought this rod hoping it would be perfect for 3/8 - 1/2oz spinnerbaits.  I really wanted something in the 6'10" - 7' range and after a ton of research I pulled the trigger.  I had thoughts that maybe the Bandersnatch might be the rod I should have bought but after unboxing I think this might be exactly what I was looking for.

 

I have a special little reel, that I searched high and low for a long time, that I'm thinking will fit this perfectly.

Been having success with chatter baits lately, so while near a Walmart, I stopped to take a look. Bought the last two. Wanted to try a fluke as a trailer so bought a pack (might be too big). And since I always need craws, picked up a pack of Rage Craws, too. 

Found a guy selling a mint 51e (I've always wanted one).  Looks like it could be a perfect match with the X10 Super Elseil.

Bend the blades back to almost true on those and you'll have ones that start almost as quickly as the Jackhammers

 

Stopped into Academy today after a haircut (you're welcome @gim) to put together a couple of tackle trays for my brother, picked up an S-Waver 168 and a pack of yellow stick baits for myself. @king fisher and @Team9nine got that banana idea stuck in my head and this is the closest I could find, we'll see if the yellow has any positive effect.

yeah it is a bummer but Japan Lure Shop threw in that Fuji hook keeper which doesn't bother me...

The hookup tackle is doing a drop of 1/2oz grass piece on Sunday 8am Arizona time. I've never tried to score one but I assume they won't last long.
