@Aaron_H did you get your 7 pound tilapia yet?

Not yet this year, and my best last year was only 6lb 1oz. Big enough for FWC's BigCatch program but not what I'm after. I've got a few over 7lb (7lb 2oz, 7lb 13oz, and 8lb 10oz) but still gunning for that IGFA record. Big ones have been stingy lately, they might be on to me....

I didn’t weigh this but I think it was 20 pounds or so, PB. “Personal buffalo”

so I stopped by the dam to cast a few on lunch break. Got stuck, tried to bend my hook. Then what I was stuck on started swimming!

First off congratulations? I’ve never caught anything even  a 1/4 that size but I’d be dang happy and excited if I ever do. Secondly I’m glad to see it’s not just me who’s loosing my mind and forgetting things?

There are people here in Memphis that like to eat those fish.  They bring  $1 per pound.

March is a good month for bigguns mostly caught on minnows, but I caught a monster

last year on a GYCB Kreature.  State record is 62 lbs.

My buddy James had buffalo smoked and said it was really good. I believe there are ways to fix it, I just don’t know about them. Feels like a dolphin ? when you touch them

The WalMart by my house sells buffalo for $4 a pound in the frozen seafood section. I wish I could find out how to sell them, I could make a killing during the winter months. They're very hard pullers and even jump occasionally when I hook them in the hotwater outlet.

$4/lb???!!! I’d say wal mart is a good customer too haha. That must be the target of commercial fishermen and gill nets

Having seen your hooks, I hope that fish got itself a tetanus shot later.

Not for me, hopefully a big blue cat is hungry for some colorful shad though.

No bass on the lunch break fishing trip today, but I managed to catch a 5 lb flathead on a Yum Dinger. I'm always thankful when I get a chance to go fishing rather than sitting at my desk at lunch.

I've seen it at the grocery store up here too.  I had to look at that thing twice to make sure I was reading the label properly the first time lol
