Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

  • After a couple of years of being used to make the new movie "TOP GUN-2" this F-18 E  has just arrived @ our facility in Jacksonville Fl. for rework, fresh paint and being returned to the active fleet.

When you are told there is a LITTLE water damage, that can be fixed in a day ???

25 people making constant trips to Home Depot might could fix that in a day

Cool!   What a great hobby.   Encourage him to keep a log book with some commentary and photos besides the usual tech details.

I got my YMCA Bronze certification the summer after I graduated from high school in '79 and an advanced open water certification several years later.  I haven't dove in years but love to get out my old log book, look at the photos and read about the dives.

That’s a great idea about the log book @desmobob. He got certified for 30’ (almost positive it wasn’t more than that) last October as a sophomore and I believe that was his 4th open water dive. I think he said someone brought up a lobster….Lol

They missed a few due to weather and choppy seas but he enjoys it.

I will pass on your advice.

Thanks a million des!

The SCUBAPro Divers' Passport is a nice one, but compact.  The log I have is a large size plastic-bound book with plenty of room on each page for comments/commentary.  I think I got it at Divers' Supply in Atlanta.

I was always toting a camera and taking lots of photos so I taped envelopes on the back of the log pages that I had photos for.   I don't know the best way to accomplish that kind of thing in the digital age...

Microsoft OneNote is pretty good for that stuff.  You can connect it to all sorts of devices as well.  The coolest part: you don't have to save anything.

Evernote is also capable of this - for those of use who don't like Micro-snert.

I had one come along for the boat ride last weekend. Doesn't look like it but the leg span was 3" or more.

It’s not prime big lake real estate, but I own the land on both sides of this river in these pics. Just spent an hour walking around it and caught a couple small bass on a frog. Couldn’t ask for a better place to have a bit of quiet time after a long days work.

Country life. I plan to watch the sun go down over this barn for the rest of my days.

Sister moved into her new house in Sturgeon Bay on Thursday. She texted me 2 pics with the caption

Fishing must be good. There's 20 boats in my backyard.
