Three months ago a Red Ear Slider dug a hole and laid eggs in my yard . The little girl across the street and I watched her do it . Yesterday  I dug in the rock hard clay ground to see how they were doing . There was no way they could dig out if they did hatch . Luck would have it , they were hatching . Now I have four baby turtles and a dozen more eggs , some of them are hatching .The little girl wants two as so does  a cousin . Any turtles not adopted will get released in a pond and be bass food .

Tried something new and it turned out pretty good!

Thanks! I asked the mother in law if it was ok if they ride back there. She said yes as long as you run a leaf blower back there after it’s all said and done haha

 

i can’t imagine trying to control a pack o dogs as big as you’ve got! 

I was fishing some hyacinth mats the other day when I came across this. At first I thought it was a big ole chunk of styrofoam because it was bigger than a gallon milk jug but with scales. Unfortunately the picture doesn’t due it justice, I’d guess this sea lions meal once weighed 30lbs….

He chickened out last year and regretted it. So he found the courage this year and loved it. 

Just another day on the water. I got lucky and was able to dodge the storm that rolled through Indiana.  I barely saw a drop.

Nice. The glide rate on helicopters is pretty poor when they quit making noise.

Just joking. I'm sure it's tasty. In my circle of family,  I'm usually the one to try stuff like this. I use to be a big health nut but as the years have gone by I have grown lazy.

It’s all good. I’m the opposite, I’m not one to try new things.

I’ve seen more bald eagles this year than ever. This shot is from Sunday.

Get you helicopter pilots license and we’ll go into business together. $42/person for a 5 minute ride. I guess the line was extremely long.

Fixed an old stone chimney in a 100 yr old cottage on an island on Georgian Bay today. Didn’t get a chance to wet a line, but the lunchroom had a pretty decent view.
