  • This thread just reinforces the adage; "Buy a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he'll buy a silly hat"

  • I think  the flat bills are down right goofy looking .

  • And on the other end of the melon size scale, I have to wear a 'youth' hat because I have a peanut size squash. And the color options available are always a just a little bit zany . . .

I prefer wearing flex fit hats as I occasionally like to wear my hat backwards and hate how snap back hats look that way.

I wear ball caps, mostly camo. I shape the bill by hand. I wouldn't wear a flatbill if you gave me one

Same here !!

Got dozens of caps. Mainly wear these when fishing: All 3 are mesh hats that keep my big head cool. 20181125_170636-606x808.jpg20180805_195107-606x808.jpg20180324_185842.jpg

I thought a truckers cap was the old ball caps from the 70s and 80s that had the big forehead ! Got a few of those left too.

I wear a hat 99.9% of the time I’m awake, and it’s always a fitted New Era. I wish a few tackle companies would offer one, but I realize the issues with offering 30 different sizes.

Hat snob here  Wear a non-structured, low profile soft cloth fishing logo'ed ball cap most every second of the day that I'm awake, but I'm extremely picky about fit and "feel." Have literally only worn a handful over the past 30 years as I find one I like and then wear it exclusively until it simply wears out. Currently have a Bass Pro hat that "fits the bill" and is going on 2 years old - just getting broke in

Only exception to this is that I do have and wear a Sunday Afternoon SPF hat (like tander posted above) out on the water from about April until September. Have had several spots frozen or cut off over the past 8 years or so, so finally got a little more serious about hatwear while on the water.

My outdoor research sombriolet  and  my lucky St louis Cardinals hat. Check out that beer coozie in the first photo .

Full brim with neck shield. Skin cancer is NOT fun.

Short trips, I wear a baseball cap and a buff. Longer stuff, I wear a Tilly and a buff. The hat was pretty expensive, but it’s got a lifetime guarantee, and it floats.

I used to wear my Gamecocks cap, BPS cap, or my Yankees cap but by the end of they were drenched in sweat. I switched over to a Huk Kryptek stretch cap and it breathes much better than my other ballcaps. I also started using a gaiter more often than not.

I'd like to switch to a wide brimmed outdoor hat but I haven't yet found one that I like.

Love the TW flex fit hats. Jut noticed that have them marked down to $11 right now for the 25 Days of Saving sale (reg. $20), but they're all sold out. They're black, but they breath quite well.

Most of the time, its a lite colored ballcap. When its really hot,i use a widebrim.

Real deal Brazil tarp hat... its surprisingly very lightweight and covers well. If I lost it today I would buy another one tomorrow. That's about the best endorsement I can give.

I can't stand anything tight across my face, but I'm mindful of skin cancer so I wear this hat. Looks funny, but it works.

Wise is the man who puts his health before fashion.

Am I the only one or have any of you had the setting sun sunburn on the back of your head from a cap with an adjustable strap ?  It never fails. Right after a hair cut in the first sunny days of spring.

Looks a lot like my Sunday's Afternoon hat.
