NJ is not much better. Bad ice yesterday and more on the way.

You and I are pretty close. Thought I’d have to deal with it before leaving for work this morning. Hear now it suppose to start during the day and through the night. Personally I’d rather deal with 15” of snow than a 1/10 of an inch of ice. Be safe.

yeah, but the only time our vehicles are salted is when we drive them down the beach.

And I'll be here next weekend.

Redfish are one of my favorite inshore fish to catch.

I agree supposed to start as rain today, rain on Tuesday then Tuesday night a deep freeze. Road will be real bad.

If it makes you guys feel better, I have a foot of snow, blowing drifts, and hourly rolling power outages (state electric commission's way of controlling thermostats) - and tamales in the steamer.

The adrenaline fish here are big hen speckled trout - for the same size, they're stronger and faster than reds, and their mouths are softer.  This girl spent mot of the fight tailstanding and shaking her head.  At the boat, when she decided I wasn't going to let her swim under, broached again and slammed her head against the hull 3 or 4 times.

Going to be fun commuting to work tomorrow morning with the snow, sleet, rain mix falling overnight. Praying for a delayed opening for the job tomorrow.

Worst winter storm in 30 years in Houston. Figures. 16° and power’s been out since 10:30 am. Glad we have a gas fireplace but boy, do I miss my wood stove! Probably 50° in the house right now. My pipes are likely to freeze. And more freezing rain on Wednesday. Ugh.

If your pipes are in a crawl space you should be ok. I’ve only had one bust in my life and it was running through an uninsulated garage wall to a hose bib in a condo I rented for a spell. We get some temps in the teens every year and I can crawl under my floor and it’s warm from the heat of the earth

The only tap not working is the cold water in the kitchen. The water line runs up the wall which is against the outside wall. I let it drip but I guess not enough. Hopefully it didn’t burst.

Leave all your faucets open. That way you let the pressure out so if the water does freeze the water can hopefully freeze the length of the pipe and not expand outward and burst your pipe.
