Fun Lures for Bass

Featured Replies

I know I've been asking a lot of questions.

But, what's a fun lure to use? I used much LM bass lures but there aren't very fun lures. Any recommendations?

Everything I use is a "fun lure".  Try a Spook to start with.

I found one locally that was kinda interesting/funny but got a permanent warning and points deducted last time I posted it on the forum.  There's some interesting stuff out there if you into that stuff like me!

Any top water lure

I love using buzzbaits at night.

for me i find a spinnerbait fun. aiming at targets and dancing it around. burning a spinnerbait and getting bit is my favorite bite.

A purple worm is super fun .

Classic! I also love the creme grape worm.

I have caught a few on topwater, spinnerbait, and jigs, but a grape 6" plastic worm is the only thing that is catching consistently.

Most lures are fun to use IMO, except anything on a C-rig ☠️

Whatever they want to eat are the most fun.

It is kinda fun to swing around with a big ol 9" glidebait, though, even if they ain't interested in it.

Most top waters are fun. Big Swimbaits are fun. I think spinnerbaits are fun.

Honestly any top water.

The Spro Rats… channel your inner rodent and become the rat. Every cast is how can I make this the most realistic struggling edible for a finned predator.

Depends on your definition of fun. If fun is exciting hard strikes then a buzzbait is tough to beat. If you want to catch numbers of fish then a Ned rig or small worm Texas rigged or split shot rigged should do the job.

Get you a Roman Made Mother and fish it in the timber. I've been told it's very stimulating when you hook a good bass.

nothing more fun to me then setting the hook on a jig

Most fun for me

Tying a 3/16 oz bucktail muddler jig with a rabbit zonker tail (mouse pattern) and catching smallies with it the next morning

The only correct answer is a buzzbait.

Buzzbaits are the funnest when they are biting it . Other lures catch fish more consistently .

For me it’s not so much a technique but a way of fishing…light line, medium light spinning rod. Nothing more exhilarating than hearing the drag scream and fighting the fish.
