Some products WOW you so much you feel the need to scream it on the internetz......I'll give OP a pass on this one, the Zillions are amazing reels.   

 

They are actually super fun at catching fish because of the clicker drag.   Hearing a solid fish peel drag on a Zillion is a "why hasn't every company been doing this" moment.  

 

I doubt you can find a smoother reel than the Zillions with Hyperdrive.   

 

They are truly set and forget reels......one can't stress this aspect enough.

 

They don't quite cast as far as a dialed in high end shimano, but again I don't want to always be dialing in a reel from bait to bait.    

 

These are top shelf reels at mid range costs given you go JDM.   

 

I did OP's review for him lol.  

I may have to order up some fun!

I’ve been waiting for a different reel to come back in stock but it hasn’t been happening.  Time to get some fun somewhere else.

Aside from lrgmouthshad lengthy review…... you have to admit. He’s right, when you’ve got that rig that is just fun to fish!

I mean cast here, there, over there…..this way, that way. Short cast, long cast and it just works.

It does cast. The reel functions

Of all the reels ever made, it is one of them.

I still smile whenever I chuck a 5/8 oz jig with a 20 year old TD Zillion. I can only imagine what the new one is like.

As much of a tackle junky that I am, I have never bought any JDM reels or even ordered from any Japanese sites, so I'm quite naive. 

 

Looking at Digitaka, are you guys talking about the Zillion TW HD? Which 'American' Zillion is it equal to, if any?

That one gets good reviews, but they are talking about the JDM Zillion SV TW G. I believe the JDM version is the 1000G and the US version is the 100G, but I may have that backwards ?
