do you like Multitools? Leathermans and stuff.

I keep a SwissTool in my "man-bag".  it gets used more often than I ever imagined.  mostly the scissors.  cutting threads on my sweaters, opening candy wrappers, or chip bags. etc.

I work heavy construction as an Engineer, so on the job site it has come in handy.  last time I pulled a bolt out of tire so we could stuff in a plug quickly, so we could make it to the tire shop.  my sister lives on 60 acres in the middle of nowhere and it totally surprised me that she carries a Leatherman in her pocket.

world travel?  I carry a CHEAP leatherman Fuse.  knife, scissors and pliers come in handy on those impromptu fishing trips that always seem to happen in the jungles.  My brother is a cop.  in his town the TSA dumps all the confiscated knives at his office.  he says he has a box with EVERYTHING.  I blurted out, "grab me a Leatherman Surge"...seriously?  I need another MT like I need another rod/reel combo.

sorry for the rambling ons.

I keep an OG Leatherman Wave in my fishing gear. I'd never go to the water without it.

Terribly useful things.

I found a Leatherman SuperTool 300 in the water at the boat ramp.  it was severely rusted.  I sent it to Leatherman in case they wanted it for some abused display box.  (the store in Portland has a display case with all the poor broken ones).  they thanked me, and sent me a replacement even tho I told them I FOUND IT!  I was dumbstruck.

it rides in my dry sack in my Kayak.  way too heavy to carry, but it has fixed so many kayak issues!!

Mine is so old, the only things stamped into the sides are 'Leatherman Tool' and 'Portland, OR'...I think it's from a time when there was only one model...

I'm never without it.

That’s the OG !  Called PST or something. I have one around here. Unused.   Crazy how that thing launched an industry.

Leatherman – as a company, I mean – is historically one of a very small number of tool companies that I've never heard anything bad about. I'm not at all surprised at your story there.

I'm not a giant multi tool fan,

but I do use them when I need a 'quick' fix for something.

Thinking about it, I carry one in the GMC, The Lund, The Canoe

and I'm pretty sure there's one in the tackle room.

Like I said, hardly use them but when I need one,

I'm glad I have it.

They are all different models of varying quality.

Mostly on the thriftier side though.

This is me too.  I just tend to keep one where its possible I may need it in a pinch.  The boat, the garage, the truck, etc.  I do not carry one around.

I have 2 Leathermans and a Swiss army knife.  If you give me an hour I might be able to find at least one of them.

I usually fish with a leatherman on my belt and carry a SAK all the time .

I bought Super Tool 300 when they first came out. I carry a smaller Leatherman tool when I fish. Good reliable tools.

I carry a leatherman skeletool for my every day carry. I’m lost without it, got me me out of a few tight spots more than once. I keep a spare in case I lose too.

I don't have one.  Never have.  I don't know why I'm the kind of guy that would use one.  I do carry a knife and flashlight every day.   (as well as a gun and spare mags)

I believe I've got 50 - 60 laying around from Christmas presents over a long span.

I'm just not a multi-tool kinda guy, more job specific.

If you ever go through western VA and need a multi-tool, look me up, free.

Have one in the truck and had one in the boat. Don't think I ever used them. It's a goto tool when the real tool(s) aren't around. Good thing is, I never paid for one. They were either given to me or found.

That is a lot of multi tools just "laying around."

I’m more of a fan of Gerber multi-tools.  I find them more comfortable to use.

Retired computer tech. I've had a couple but found them too bulky to carry in a pocket and the little ones too small to be of use. Went with the Swiss Army Tinker, probably have a half dozen, carry one most of the time. One in the truck and one in the tackle.

I have a Leatherman Supertool and a SAK Explorer on my belt everyday. Also a 2nd alox SAK in my left front pocket and a Knipex Cobra plier in cargo pocket. 5 more Leatherman at home and at least 6 more SAK’s…. I’m an addict

I never leave the house without my leatherman. I used to use a gerber  multi tool , because all of the sparkly gadgets , but they just aren’t as rugged . I abuse the crap outta mine every day at work and it just keeps on rockin in the free world.

I don't like multi tools, but they are nice to have when you need one, so I keep one in the car and boat most times.

I don’t use one for any of my fishing or hunting nor do I carry one on weekends.

It seems like I’ve had one on my belt forever while I’m working. The Gerber version. I would not carry one except for being electro-mechanical my whole life. Worked well for a quick fix on something you were scoping out. Always keep the knife sharp at least. Not a pen knife guy.

Been retired since the beginning of June and I have not used or carried it since.

Something that is pretty cool and is alway in my truck console is a small multitool called a turtle. Not very big, a bit bigger in diameter than a silver dollar, stainless and does come handy on occasion.

I have a LM Wingman that is in my smaller hip tool bag that has all the really commonly used household tools. I don't find it to be necessary, but grabbing it can save a trip back to the work bench.
