I started using those around docks last season in addition to the weightless stick baits.
livin2fish
I have never detected a bite from any species of fish while holding my line or laying it over a finger, though I have tried many times.

papajoe222
Never caught a bass trolling. That fact is ironic as I learned structure fishing from the master and trolling SpoonPlugs was the basis for learning to fish different structures. When I started fishing from a boat, it had no motor and the first accessory I added to it was a Humminbird flasher. I used it to find all different structures on our summer home lake. When I was finally able to purchase a boat with a motor, again my first addition was a depth finder, but I never got into trolling.
JediAmoeba
I have never owned a Shimano product. I have about 50 Daiwa reels and have had every other brand of reel and rod imaginable but have never had a single shimano product.

Sounds like a severe case of Shimanophobia, with a healthy side of Daiwaphilia. Can you show me on the doll where Shimano hurt you? I kid. Is there something about Shimano that repels you that strongly?

Very bad. 17 hours ago, Big Hands said: Is there something about Shimano that repels you that strongly? Nothing. I know they are quality products and I have cast a few friends but I have never wanted one. I particularly dislike the DC reels and their noise. Centrifugal brakes, I am not used to, and I can cast my daiwas like a champ.

rboat
Obviously, I am doing something wrong. I can't get bit on the Deps cover scat, darn poop bait! I also have never caught a bass on a traditional bass jig.
