Weightless T-rigged flukes and senkos skip REALLY well

Tubes also skip very well.  I started using those around docks last season in addition to the weightless stick baits.

I have never detected a bite from any species of fish while holding my line or laying it over a finger, though I have tried many times.

Never caught a thing around here on any red colored bait.

I have never fished a lure with a stated weight greater than 1oz. Rigs and total weight with all components, sure.

i have never caught a fish after skipping a bait beautifully thru it's front door.

Never caught a bass trolling. That fact is ironic as I learned structure fishing from the master and trolling SpoonPlugs was the basis for learning to fish different structures. When I started fishing from a boat, it had no motor and the first accessory I added to it was a Humminbird flasher. I used it to find all different structures on our summer home lake.  When I was finally able to purchase a boat with a motor, again my first addition was a depth finder, but I never got into trolling.

I have never owned a Shimano product. I have about 50 Daiwa reels and have had every other brand of reel and rod imaginable but have never had a single shimano product.

Sounds like a severe case of Shimanophobia, with a healthy side of Daiwaphilia. Can you show me on the doll where Shimano hurt you?

I kid.

Is there something about Shimano that repels you that strongly?

Very bad.

Nothing. I know they are quality products and I have cast a few friends but I have never wanted one. I particularly dislike the DC reels and their noise. Centrifugal brakes, I am not used to, and I can cast my daiwas like a champ.

All you people who can’t catch a chatterbait bass, try a minimax!

I catch more on the 3/8 vibrating jig.  I can't get a bite on the minimax.  Maybe when the temps get cooler.....

That minimax is a killer! Spot remover color + Yamamoto Shad shape worm = 6-13s

Never have I ever lost a rod by dropping it into the lake.  That is something my dad and wife can't say.

I’m on the same team as your dad and wife. Made the team probably a dozen times if flipping a canoe counts

I have never lost a bass tournament.  (I did win one ~40 years ago)

I gotta say no.  These were actually dropped into the lake.

Obviously, I am doing something wrong. I can't get bit on the Deps cover scat, darn poop bait! I also have never caught a bass on a traditional bass jig. :dontknow:

Never caught a fish on a frog but only threw on a few times. Keep saying I'm going to throw one more.

Caught a bass with:

- Spinnerbait

- Lipless

- Squarebill

- Hard jerkbait

- A-Rig

- Vibrating jig

- Ned Rig

- Frog

Understood:

- the difference between damiki rig and fishing with a jighead

Bought:

- Googan brand anything

I have never -- found any of the lures that went flying off in to the distance when my line broke off (despite trying hard to find them !!)

I have never regretted time on the water. I’ve had work things blow up while I was on the water; I’ve frozen my butt off sitting in a kayak in sleet, and I’ve gotten skunked more often than I’d like to admit, but I’ve never ever regretted getting out there.

I have never caught a smallmouth bass!

They just don't live down here where I'm at in NC.  We have hunting property in VA on the James River but whenever I'm there I'm usually deer / turkey hunting.  I need to make some trips up there with the canoe so I can experience some brown bass action!!

Do you fish jerkbaits on spinning gear?

All my bigger jerkbaits like (pointer 100 and up) I'm throwing on casting gear and I can't imagine not having a DC reel.  I'll bomb cast them straight into the wind with zero hesitation... the noise is a little annoying at first.  But wow what a difference a DC reel makes on a jerkbait rod.  Completely thumb free!!

I have never seen anyone start so many topics on a forum like you! lol Just kiddin. You keep things spiced up here. Let's see what I can come up with related to fishing:

I've never captured and tagged (from the beach) a great white shark. Most all other east coast shark species I've captured and tagged. Thought I came close a few times but they turned out to be tiger sharks.

As far as freshwater goes, I've never fished from a bass boat. I started out bank fishing and later on ended up with a motorized fishing kayak, which has worked out very well. Maybe someday I'll get a bass boat (or fish from one lol) but for right now I'm pretty content with my kayak.
