  1. jwall, I've heard echo lake is good but I've only fished it once with my young kids (worms and bobbers). I just got back from a week at newfound lake at crushed it. zman micro jigs were on fire! If you need info on newfound let me know.
  2. Tons of stripers in the bay. Brewster flats. Non stop action on poppers all day Thursday.
  3. The 20% off works for megabass! DAD20
  4. I was up at lake cobbosseecontee in Winthrop a couple weeks ago and had a great trip. Caught lgmouth, smallies and pike. Stayed at the lakeside lodge. I highly recommend lakeside!! Call them and ask for a fishing report. They are awesome
  5. How many acres is this medium sized lake? Does it get windy? I had the same size Jon and they suck in wind/waves. Sell it and get a vhull!!

That’s my batch of squarebills and I must say they are amazing!! Took them up to lake cobbosseecontee in Maine and they caught big pike and multiple lgmouth over 3lbs and smallies up to 4lbs. They were my top producers. Even out produced my megabass jerkbait.
  8. I grabbed a kistler klx during their 21% off sale. I was able to get it for $200. I really love the klx. Super light and Great sensitivity. And I have multiple gloomis, megabass, dobyns and st croix. Whatever you buy don’t pay full retail!!!! Wait for a sale.
  9. Try a ned rig!
  10. I bought one before they sold out on TW. I love it. Super smooth. I wish I could get another at the sale price of $110.
  11. All my rods are cork (loomis. Megabass, Dobyns, Kistler, Powell). and I use u40 on all of them. I don’t feel a difference. I recommend u40.
  12. I have 2 of the orochi xx gen 1. Spinning and a casting. I find that the actual power is lighter than the rating. Not sure if this is the same with the levante but wanted to make you aware. Good luck!
  13. I have this. It’s small, light and has a suction cup transducer mount. Good option. https://www.overtons.com/humminbird-piranhamax-4-pt-portable-fishfinder-321654.html?CAWELAID=120071730000248608&s_kwcid=adwords__&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3b3Bmam24QIVg56fCh33GQ94EAQYASABEgIK6_D_BwE
  14. Thanks for the replies everyone!! I ordered a ctug. @Brad Reid What’s the secret??? Do tell!! Extra straps needed?
  15. I have the predator PDL and need a new cart. I was using a scupper mount cart that was given to me but that broke. Im leaning away from the scupper mount cart because I heard it could cause damage. What are you guys using? Ive read good things about the c-tug. I don’t want to drill holes in the kayak. Thinking strap and go. Thanks in advance dan
  16. I saw this on Facebook. Shimano Sedona for $42 https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?lst=100006685326703%3A100010039303611%3A1553193428&id=100010039303611&fref=nf&pn_ref=story
  17. Looking to take my kayak out Sunday. I live couple miles north of Boston. Anyone got any recommendations for spots within a half hour?? Not sure what spots have no ice. Thanks in advance for the help! was thinking of bare hill pond in Harvard. If anyone knows how it looks (ice and water level) please let me know.
  18. I’m looking at the same reel. Looks solid but might be too small for my liking.
  19. I had the same issue on my vhull. I used flex seal paint and never had an issue again. I’ve used 5200 in the past on leaky rivets and that worked great also.
  20. That’s an unbelievable combo!!! And I’m very surprised you got that much line on it. As far as size goes The smallest I use is the 2500 size. I love finesse fishing and have a bunch of 2500 size reels because they are the most versatile IMO. I definitely think casting distance is sacrificed with a 1000 but by using a Stella and plasma line that might be mitigated. If if it works for you go for it!!
  21. That pond is right in the middle of a golf course?!?! I would base my fishing on hole locations and expected speed of the golf balls I might get hit with. With that said I’d only fish the very top, bottom right or middle left sections of the picture. I would assume that pond is man made and is ~6 feet deep. I’d try to target any sctructure or fountains. Fore!!
  22. I use a spinning setup 100% of the time when fishing senkos and I always fish them weightless. For rods the glx is the most sensitive rod out there IMO BUT I can also say I love high end dobyns and st croix. Kistler is having a 21% off sale now and I just bought a helium so that might be an option for you. Not sure what your budget is but I never buy a high end rod unless it’s at least 20% off retail. Good luck!!
  23. How would guys compare the helium vs the klx in terms of sensitivity? Is the helium worth spending the extra $40? And do they fish to their power rating?
  24. I like fast or xtra fast for powerbait. Tough to get a good hookset with moderate action rod when using powerbait.
  25. I recently picked up some nikko hellgrammites. Haven’t fished them yet but I heard they really produce and they last https://www.amazon.com/Nikko-hellgrammite-Artificial-Fishing-Pumpkin/dp/B076DB2CXZ/ref=asc_df_B076DB2CXZ/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312065559007&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10416636358950929591&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9002007&hvtargid=pla-570418251824&psc=1
