Got a couple today. It was cold early so I delayed, motor wouldn’t start until about 10 😂. One decent smallie slammed a jigging spoon a few times, caught it with the motor running while scanning open water. Lost another good smallie on nightcrawler casting at a cliff. Sun was out. Found a cool tree on sonar but caught no fish around it

Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

I caught one over 6 on Christmas day once, and my PB on dec 31st . Both had eggs.  Still early for NORTH Florida. It has been a cooler fall too, so it doesn’t make sense why they are on so early.

Mike, is anyone playing Barry White or Tom Jones on a jukebox near the ponds you fish?

Was gonna say something along these lines to be honest.   The church attendees must be wearing Dior. 😆

I'm guessing a LOT of us are wanting to fish with @AbelG. I sure am. Those fish are gorgeous.

Beside those beautiful fishes, I'm lucky to be at 15 min to the spot of fishing from home

Good photo, @Fried Lemons!

Our highs topped 50 degrees today, which turned out to be warmer than our water temps (49 deg.). Just a light breeze at times. Managed to catch 8 or 9 today, mostly on the jig and minnow. Best was a 4-1/2 lb. fish.

Went yesterday. Got one bite on a Fat IKA. Pond was covered in leaves and pine needles. Tried a jerkbait but forget trebles.

I remember those days. They do make for trickier fishing.

Speaking of fishing, I'm grateful some of us are still fishing.

Got out again this afternoon for almost 3 hours with the rebound in air temps. Ended up with a dozen cookie cutters on jighead minnow. Did have one slightly better fish jump off at the boat, so no pic. Water down to 46, but fish were active late. I could try and slow down for a bigger bite, but so hard to leave numbers of fish to do so, and every so often, a big one is mixed in with the packs. Probably it until next week.IMG_4622.jpeg.7a43fc65e5c57e198f1bf02e1fefbe90.jpeg

Hasn't been for lack of want to, but life has made getting out difficult lately. Last time I got out a couple weeks ago was awfully cold, barely breaking the freezing mark, and windy. The fish were biting really well but most were in the 12-14 inch range, still lots of fun. Right at the end of the day, I sight fished a lighting trout with a Ned rig also.

The downside, my back locked up so bad at the end of the day that I thought I was going to have to call someone for help loading my kayak up. Couldn't even stand up straight for the next 4 days and ended up missing a whole week of work. Doing a lot better now, but it was pretty miserable for a while.

Not sure I'll make it out again this season or not, but if I don't, I'll be ending the year with 2,121 bass caught, measured, photographed, and released. Glad to have accomplished the goal of catching 2,025 bass for the year 2,025, but I don't plan on trying to do it again in the future, at least not documenting every one like that 😅

Sorry, buddy. Say, I've been watching YouTube videos of cops and drunk, belligerent drivers. My takeaway: YOU GUYS ARE SO PATIENT!

That trout is incredible. I remember the last one you caught.

2,121 bass beats my 2024 total of 2,044. You do start fishing before me and finish after me, but going head-to-head on the same water, but I can already hear the tournament director announcing, "And in first place, it's Clayton...." And then he'd give me a  participation trophy.

I will be counting again next year. I want to reach 1,800.

I just want to catch roughly

Two best from today fishing the Kissimmee chain. Went back to the same spot we tried first thing in the morning but didn’t connect like we expected. At the end of day we went back and it was on fire for about a hour. Fishing with my good buddy Capt.
