Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)

Featured Replies

There are some great looking lures in this thread. I just received my wobblers in the mail yesterday.

When I made this purchase I sent a note to the seller asking nicely if they would please include more blue than just the 1 their sales photo showed. And I was pleasantly surprised they complied. The sale was for 10 lures, but I received 11 and it included 1 extra blue lure so that was appreciated.

My son and I are going to split these up. He gets 6 of his chioce, and I get 5 that are leftover because I already have just 1 blue one all worn out missing half its blue paint, but still catches fish. That new golden shiner color is looking pretty good too! These are excellent for schooling bass and actively feeding bass. Now to remove all those split rings where the line ties on...

I usually fish with more finesse sized baits like neds along with 2.8 and 3.3 in. keitechs. My new home lake has gizzard shad and big stripers along with smallies and largemouth. I thought I'd give these a try.

Won a waffle and can’t decide what’s the best thing to pick. What would you pick? I don’t really “need” anything particular.

I hadn't used jerkbaits before but just bought a similar stash. For the price they'd better work!

I'd go with those down at the bottom. I'm not a fan of deep diving lures because here in Florida those run right into the bottom or thick vegetation. I want a lure a little more controllable and one that stays within 4 or 5 feet of the water surface. So those at the bottom are more versatile in my opinion and can be used in more variety of ways than deep divers.

Ordered 4x the new Karashi 80's. The standard Karashi is my favorite lure. Hopefully these live up to the hype. I wanted them because I have a need for a super shallow jerkbait, but did not want to try the vision 110 shallow.

Just ordered 2 from TW. Why? Because I buy tackle for absolutely no reason at all. Why? Because I have a problem.

If two is one and one is none, than how many is three?

Right, have to get it in every color as well

I’m an “n+1” kinda guy… where the number you should own is n+1 with n being the number you currently own…

This works for all kinds of hobbies too BTW

Well I pulled the trigger and just got a Kastking Al-Ti baitcaster, It has an aluminum alloy frame and a titanium spool. weighs 5.6 oz

Got a few headed my way also. Excited to give them a go. I got a message from a friend of mine who's been fishing them in Texas and said they're the real deal.

Received my CL8 Baby Possum today. Gonna primarily fish it at night since they're nocturnal. 😁

So I had the day off this past Tuesday and decided to do my annual BPS Spring Classic Sale trade in. I went in knowing I was buying a Carbonlite Tech Specific Rod which I purchased and as I mentioned before I was going to look at the Concept A2 reels they have on sale, I’m quite happy to say I was able to keep the reel 🐒 at bay due to me realizing I have more than enough reels but satisfied him with the rod purchase in my mind. I also realized I have quite a bit of tackle that I haven’t even opened so although I feel I let the tackle 🐒 down I walked away extremely happy as I walked in with $175.00 in BPS gift cards and walked out with $30.00 in BPS gift cards.IMG_0089.jpegIMG_0088.jpegAs a p.s. I saw this post from a young lady angler I seen in a fishing show seminar and it reminded me that although I could have saved a couple bucks by buying from BPS I’m planning on a couple rod purchases this season and will be supporting my local shop when I do.IMG_0097.png

Megabass Vision 110 HT Kossori Shad. I picked up three of these. I don’t think they are available anymore in the regular 110 and it is one of my favorites.
