As far as elaztech goes it might be me.  I bought 65 packs of ZinkerZs this fall to go along with the 50 packs I already had.

I'd say your great grandkids are set on elaztech too.

Me neither, never heard of the Bait Monkey. I just attributed my problem to an undiagnosed illness. Now I know what I have but I do not how to treat it. ?

Until they decide to melt for some unknown reason and all get deformed and stuck together and he has to throw 3 dozen bags away like I did last fall ?‍♂️

I'm trying to be the anti-Bait Monkey and stopped posting pictures when I buy new baits. I also stopped looking at the thread for all the new purchases and sales, it's too hard to fight that urge and I like having new toys to play with.

I pretty much stick to St. Croix and Okuma on rods and I've got rods and reels without partners laying around right now as is.

A lot of my friends are the same way, I always ask them “what’s all that 100 fish per bait talk if you need that many??”

I think only @Team9nine achieves those type results while fishing away from all logs

Sticking to a rod brand isn’t playing with new toys. That’s just playing with the same toys over and over again. You know, you could really spice things up by giving iRod a chance

Well I know a guy who knows a guy who has a Zman contact and got them for me for $2.00 per pack.  I couldn’t resist it.

You bet.  Plus where I fish on the upper James River on Table Rock lake there is so much sunken stuff that it takes a lot of baits every trip.

Clearly I’ve fulfilled my goal of staying under the radar.?

As for A Jay, if, and I say if, he was in the running, he’s fallen off. I surmised this because he failed to have his annual A Jay’s Bait and Tackle inventory reduction sale.  I look forward each year to two things, A Jay’s sale and having my teeth cleaned.

I know how you feel. I started snorkeling off my dock to get my lures back and it’s too scary for me down there with all the jagged rock ledges, stumps, and logs

I been keeping what works.

So far so good.

But it is very satisfying to hear that your dental hygienist and I are so high up on your list.

Btw, there could be an unadvertised bait sale soon, but no worries mate.

You're on speed dial.

Ya know, this reminds me, I've sold quite a few rods for Ark at this point, and I still haven't recieved a commission check from them or the monkey. I can't help but feel like I'm getting the short end of the flippin stick.

Meanwhile, I ain't convinced anybody to buy an iRod, and I can promise them that they are missing out. If they held a Harold's Lone Star or 704C, they would know what I'm talking about.

Maybe I'll have to buy an Ark rod sometime. I almost did; a while back I sent you a message about potentially using one for c-rigging

You won't be disappointed in that Guntersville if you get one. It's great for flippin and A-rigs. I haven't used it for C-rigs but I'm sure it would work well. It's a versatile taper. It's got some tip to it, and plenty of backbone. It whipped quite a few muskie for me last fall.

Hmm... Looking at the above paragraph...... Maybe I am the monkey? ?

You are most definitely run by a member here; I just haven’t figured out who yet. Maybe that should be another thread I start “who runs the bait__monkey account?” Seems like something @roadwarrior would do

Yeah, that’s right. I called you dependent. Go and throw some banana fits at me

I don't think so. If roadwarrior was in charge of the monkey, he'd have moved that high end BFS rig in no time.

If your theory of a mod controlling the monkey is correct, my money's on @TnRiver46. He claims to only fish with found lures, used line recovered from trees and untangled, and $2 yard sale combos, meanwhile he's sicking the monkey on all the rest of us poor unsuspecting folks. Not an accusation mind you, just a theory. I have absolutely zero evidence to support it, but it's plausible. ?

Heck I can’t find any lost lures, @Bluebasser86already got them all

He does seem to "find" an aweful lot of them doesn't he? I think he flashes his badge at the ramp, and confiscates peoples tackle boxes as evidence related to his "investigation" into an international tackle smuggling cartel. Again, I have no evidence, but it's "plausible".
