I have an Outfitter Pro Angler | medium | extra fast...really like that rod. Picked up a Fenwick HMX spinning rod earlier this summer...really like that as well.

I had already placed my order for the DX745 the night before you posted that extra 10% off code. I called them that next morning to see if they'd add that extra 10% off. He said no other codes should stack on top of an existing sale price. I said, well in my cart right now it's showing it does. He said maybe when you go to checkout it'll say you can't. Then he said it looks like the rod was in the process of shipping out anyways, so he couldn't honor it if he wanted to. I was skeptical but it arrived faaast, so he was probably telling the truth. I've always had great experience with their customer service, so I have no reason to doubt him.

 

Anyways, later that day I placed another order for the KD744 and a few baits, just to see if the code did work. It did. Thanks again for the heads-up.

I did notice the Kaden shipped super quick this go around, nice after the 1 month wait for my 704CB. It did actually ship from ALF rather than drop shipping from Dobyns this time, I wonder if they keep the lower price models on hand or if they're shifting away from drop shipping for Dobyns.

Speaking of fast, I don't know how they did it but my ALF order jumped from Indiana to CA overnight and is already out for delivery.

Of the 2 rods I ordered, they both showed out of stock/backorder. So I was shocked I got my DX so quickly. It came right from ALF. I haven't gotten any shipping notification for the KD744 yet though, so I may not be so lucky on that one. 

Finally trying some BFS. Shimano Aldebaran BFS XG on a Dobyns Sierra Ultra Finesse 740 and a Aldebaran BFS HG on a Dobyns Ultra Finesse 691. Spooling with Daiwa Samurai Hidden FC 8lb.

ALF Labor Day Sale……got two mint condition NRX+ 873CRR’s 😄

2 additions, a Daiwa Kage 6’10” mlxf “the Ned” model.   My first Daiwa that came on recommendation of a local small retailer when I said I wanted a primarily Ned rod.  Paired it with my existing Stradic 1000FL.   Have to say I am super impressed with this rod for the price point. Amazing fit and finish and fishes neds amazingly.  I’ve been a Loomis guy but I’d buy more of these I think with no questions.  
 

Also found a Loomis GCX at same tackle shop, MBR782C at a wicked deal.  I have mostly IMX rods and didn’t expect Gcx to be as good.   But for the price I paid it’s a nice rod for sure.  Round out my line up of MBR783C & a MBR784C I have now.    Need a feel for this one now to finish up this expansion to the lineup.  
 

 

Another Metanium 100 arrived today from Japan. Picked up a Curado 300k yesterday for a swimbait reel as well. And a Phenix K2 765 on it’s way.

I have been thinking about getting a longer Light Fast rod for launching BFS swimbaits. Cashion had just added rods to their BF Icon rods, including a 7'6 Light Fast. So the bait monkey said that's the one I've been waiting for. It just arrived from TW so I'll get some pics when I try it out on my days off.

You’re gonna love the Headturner. Most versatile rod in my lineup. The moderate fast action is perfect for most single-hook moving baits and light frogging. And it can throw a 6” Magdraft in a pinch. 

Got this in today from Digitaka, my third one but in a 6.2 speed, tried it already and this thing is a winch!!!

Steez the one and vanford 2500s. You may call me godless if you wish, but these two match better than my socks.

Another JDM Bantam and Met 100 along with a Phenix Feather 6’9 MH and. Phenix K2 765. The K2 blows the NRX out of the water. Never thought that was possible but from experience…totally is.

 

Sensitivity on the K2 for me, is unmatched.

Cashion Icon Light 7'6. I picked it as a finesse swimbait launcher and it works great so far

 

 

Is there a BFS Monkey because that guy is really messing with me.

 

$50 off, I couldn’t resist the price but I need a rod to put it on.
