Rest in Peace @ WRB-2.0

Featured Replies

My condolences to his wife and family.  I only knew him through BR.  Anytime I saw his post or response I came to attention because he was such a good fisherman.  A huge loss for all of us.

  • This is truly heartbreaking news.   Losing a member like him leaves a hole that can’t really be filled. For nearly 20 years, he wasn’t just part of the forum — he was the forum in so many wa

Tom was going all in on BFS. We had a heck of a topwater season in 2025 that lasted from Spring and into the Fall. This is from the last time we fished together in late September. He bagged a six-plus

  • So sorry to hear this!    First we lose @Catt then we lose @WRB-2.0. Two great anglers and over 100 years of bass fishing knowledge we’ve lost this year. We should all be grateful these two sha

I have no words😢

He was always sharing valuable information to all on here.

Rest in peace Tom, you will be missed by all.

I’m using Sunline mono because of Tom. I fish jigs the way I do because of Tom. This is a deep loss. Godspeed, Tom. You will be sorely missed.

RIP Tom.

A huge void has been left that will never be filled with Tom's passing. I have no other words that hasn't already been shared. Our world is a little dimmer now and our mission is to shine brighter. Safe journey Tom.........

Life is a journey, and this is only a beginning, not an ending. My condolences to Tom and his family.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said....he was a wealth of knowledge and from what I could tell a good human...he will be missed and my heart goes out to his loved ones.

I am at a loss for words.  You will be missed.  RIP.

I always read Tom’s replies. He was so knowledgeable , literally an expert. Applying what he recommended always worked. I feel honored to have been able to learn from such a humble legend.

RIP Tom! Your contributions and knowledge of fishing are huge. Fisherman will be tapping that  resource for a long long time. That will be your legacy.

Sad to see that title and click on this thread. His fishing knowledge and experience was remarkable. He was generous as well, he directly emailed me his cosmic clock information a few years back. I hope Tom and his family find peace.

I went fishing today. Decision between staying at the local pond or taking a drive up to Lake Raven. Then I saw this thread and thought, “I can choose. Tom can’t.” Went to the lake. Didn’t catch a fish, but I was thinking about Tom every time I casted that blue/black jig on my Falcon Lowrider and Daiwa Fuego spooled up with Sunline.

Tom, you will still be fishing waters here even though you’re not. Your knowledge lives on in all of us.

Big loss for this forum, his knowledge and insights were second to none. I’m going to miss hearing from him, I always paid extra attention to his posts. Rest in peace Tom.

It is with profound sadness that I hear of Tom's passing.

His knowledge, wisdom, and kindness have established him as an icon to many of the BassResource members. He will be greatly missed and always cherished.

My condolences to friends and family. I wish each of them peace with grace during this challenging time.

I am grateful to have known him for the short time I've been associated to BR.

Godspeed Tom

I can’t add to what has already been said. Tom will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family.

I have been here for 16+ years. Tom was so generous. He and Tommy(CATT) had so many memorable discussions.

Tom was a lot more than fishing. He was so analytical in all things and quite a character when you took the time to talk to him at length. After seeing him share for so many years and in an instant it's gone. It's more than sad.

He gifted me a pile of Rebel baits and I will fish one or two on Monday. Thank you, friend.

See you in the afterlife sir!

Just popped on here to see what's what and am just floored by this news.

He's one of those guys who you just thought would always be there...be around forever...so sad.

Yes, well said @Glenn and others.

RIP WRB; my thoughts go out to his family.

Really bummed to hear this. I'd recently sent him a message, just a simple thanks for the frequent food for thought. Rest easy, WRB.

Very sorry to hear this. Prayers for him and his family,

I just came onto BR to see what the latest posts were, and I am saddened to get this news.  Whenever I run into a post that peaks my interest, I, out of habit, always looked for Tom’s take on the matter.  If he had not commented, I would look again later as the thread would evolve.  Him being gone is going to leave a void.

For those of you that know his family, please add my condolences to the chorus and let them know how important he was to the BR community.

Nooo. I'm shocked and heart broken. RIP, Tom.

I am very sad to be looking at this. Didn't know him personally but always appreciated his point of view and some of his posts were some of the most helpful posts I've read on this forum. My condolences to his family and RIP sir.

Tom's advice and tips were of a great help to me and everyone of this forum.

Prayers out to him and his family.

Very sad news.

Very sorry to hear this. I admired him for his fishing knowledge and his ability and willingness to give clear explanations and responses to our posts. RIP

I somehow missed this until now. Others have already posted eloquently, I would just echo the words of @A-Jay, @Glenn, and @Fishing_Rod. And most of all I would like to say a big THANK YOU for all the knowledge and memories

And thank you to @Big Hands for the update and for relaying our posts to his wife and other family. Tell her we are praying for them all

In a loose ode to the movie “a river runs through it,” I’d like to say that Tom was a fine fisherman.
