@A-Jay this cold front was very nice and very welcomed! The next week albeit temporary not so much.

Fall will be here soon enough. Leaves are changing and salmon are entering the harbors, and bow season is 2-1/2 short weeks away

Since it is fire 40miles away and we cover in ashes, I just got to work and made one grade space to fishing section. Still need work, But you get the idea. I also like what I did for rods.

Looks great @ATA! Hope the fires get under control ASAP, there is no loss of life and property loss is minimal.

I've never seen maples turning this early before, but we are in the midst of a drought with much of the state ranked in severe to exceptional drought status. Many of our farmers are having a rough time of it this year, particularly in the SE part of the state.

You just described east central Illinois.  Ditto with the maples.  Much too early.

Definitely a sign of drought, and subsequently, stress. My maples here are still fully green because of the exact opposite reason, no drought this year.

What struck me as odd, is it's mostly the maples along the shore that are turning. The trees on the hills are mostly green.

Yesterday I saw a large corn field already cut. That's normally a November or December thing around here. That poor farmer lost his whole crop. There'll be a shortage of hay this winter too, because of lack of growth. Tough year to be a farmer in Ohio.

I didn’t have any of those whirly maple seeds drop at all this season here either. No one did here. I don’t know why. Maybe because of the fake winter we had? Kind of a mystery.

I never thought about it, but I didn't see them here either, and my neighbor and I both have maples in our back yards. It's been a crazy year weather wise for sure. Super mild winter, historic April flooding then historic summer drought.

The last of my garden harvest. Handful of Cherry tomatoes, 3 undersized cucumbers, and a small pumpkin that the dog wants to eat.

Went to US Bank Stadium today with my family and my brother.  I had not been to a football game since 2019.  Awesome game day experience.
