fun ride and significant because that’s 7 month old hazel riding with her daddy in the red canoe. Her first boat ride!!! (She already has 2 life jackets to choose from)

Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

  • After a couple of years of being used to make the new movie "TOP GUN-2" this F-18 E  has just arrived @ our facility in Jacksonville Fl. for rework, fresh paint and being returned to the active fleet.

@Motoboss, silver maple ?

Yes Sir. It was over 100 years old and almost 100 foot tall. Hated to lose it but rotted from the inside.

Too much storm damage and water intrusion.

In preparation for her deep, hard-water hibernation, the Pro-V Bass went in for winterization today.

When she wakes up next spring,

we'll be celebrating 10 years of good times together.

Sadness begins ☹️

you still have the canoe available right? So not all is lost.

I am not sad—I am grateful for what I had and have.

I'll do what I can to be ready for my next opportunity.

As for the canoe, yes, I still have it available.

However, after 'many' years of service, my modest sonar,

both batteries, as well as the trolling motor, all failed last spring.

They are not going to be replaced.

The craft is now truly paddle-only.

That's not as much fun as it used to be because of the autumn weather in northern Michigan.

Wow, beautiful.  A winding, less-traveled road.  Fantastic scenery. At 9600 feet!??

That's a great pic!  What's your plan?  Hoppe's?  Kroil?  I always used mercury but I was a Hazmat tech and member of a bomb squad so I could get it legally and dispose of it legally.  I've read vinegar and peroxide will do it but I've not tried it.

Thanks @BigAngus752. I use the chore bore method if I have to remove it manually. The easiest and best way is to shoot a load that doesn't lead behind the one that does.

I had a full power load with an RCBS 38-150-SWC that shot clean and I'd use that to remove leading from any loads that did.

Yesterday was a special music program at the local elementary school put on for the grand-parents/grand-friends. Serenity (youngest of my 4 unofficial grandkids) decided she wanted 'Papa' to be her special guest. As it was her debut and I wanted her to feel special, I decided to dress up for it.

When she first saw me, her jaw dropped and she went, "Papa....you look great."

Rennie is the one on the right, the one in the middle is her best friend Michelle.

Absolutely!  Thank you for showing her how "gentlemen" like us USED to do it.
