I found my recent moth photo. This one was flying around in my garage. It was the largest moth I had ever seen. I estimate it was around 4 inches wing tip to wing tip.

Cool moth. I haven't seen one of those before.

Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

  • After a couple of years of being used to make the new movie "TOP GUN-2" this F-18 E  has just arrived @ our facility in Jacksonville Fl. for rework, fresh paint and being returned to the active fleet.

My spider plant that has succumbed to the heat. There were probably 350 babies on there.

Tired hotdog, after 3 good squirrel chases. It was 60,000 steps for her.

Some great photos!

Not sure if I posted this one before, but one of my favorite feeder tributaries to the St. Johns river in central Florida. When the water level is normal bass boats cannot get to this location. It is way back up in the jungle. Jurassic park like jungle, but with white sandy beaches perfect for camping and cookouts where no one will bother you- except the gators. Some big bass back in there!

When I am out there fishing and I hear something in the woods, I am reminded of the movie Jurassic Park and kind of half expect to see a T-Rex coming out of the woods for me. Love it out there though... so peaceful.

I don’t normally take pictures of other people's dogs but I was on my way to Petco and followed this 200lb monster all the way there.  Dude is living his best life.

Those dogs seem pretty cool and I’d love to have one, but unfortunately their lifespan isn’t that long.

Looks like a Burmese mountain dog?

Its generally true, the bigger the dog, the shorter their life span.

True but theirs seem shorter. Hank was a Great Pyrenees and he was 13-14. The vet who put him down said double digits is good, teens, pretty darn good.

We’ve got a half Pyrenees that’s 14 yrs old, she wasn’t supposed to make it nearly this long but somehow did. Her back end is losing strength but she’s had a good run. I think it normally helps with longevity to get mutts but ole Hank proved that wrong, 13-14 is excellent for a pure bred Pyrenees

His back end was weak for a while. Sometimes he’d need a little help but once he got going he was good. Wednesday that all changed. The vet was impressed with his age.

Let me guess, the Florida resident is in the boat wondering why all those guys from up north are voluntary shark bait?

What are they going to do with a fish if they catch one? Sharks will follow it right back to them! Gators do the same.

I'm with the guy in the boat on this one!

Is that image photoshopped?

Have you ever seen Indian pottery with baked on food residue preserved for centuries?

You can see the top rim of the cooking bowl and the food residue that flowed over the top rim only to be baked onto the sides of the bowls. Some pottery sherds show layering of baked on food residue from multiple uses before breaking and being discarded.

The baked on food residue is thicker at top rim of the bowl.

Never know what you will find while bass fishing in Florida!

During picture time on the water, I am only limited by my creativity.

Fishing solo simply adds to the challenge.

Yes, it does. Clearly the fish are relating to the structure.

F3, archeologists have tasted honey stored in Egyptian tombs and found it edible. Did you too taste the food on those pot fragments? Seriously, it's super cool that you find such things.

Wilford Brimley

I can't believe there's a GIF of this guy out there

The State of Tennessee drained my local lake at Big Hill Pond State Park to create a Bill Dance Signature lake. The first photo is one I took a few years ago. The second was yesterday. It's almost dystopian. I was shocked to see the lake look like that.
