For me I prefer June bug over B&B by a wide margin. I know that's probably an unpopular opinion since Black blue is part of the color holy trinity...White (father), B&B (son) and green pumpkin (holy spirit)...But plain and simple June bug is more productive for me. Which do you prefer...June bug or black blue?

With regards to soft plastics I prefer junebug but for jigs black and blue. Black and blue, junebug and green pumpkin do about 75 percent of my work.  

 For jigs definitely black and blue, for plastics its pretty 50/50

I'm also a big fan of Junebug......Ned rigs and worms.

Like above, black & blue Jigs is a staple. 

Don't forget about peanut butter and jelly. 

If we're talking soft plastics the it's black & blue or really just black for me. I'm sure some day junebug will prove it's worth to me but it hasn't yet.

I also like black/blue jigs. For soft plastics I will take junebug any day over black/ blue. 

 

I use 3 colors of plastics for all types of presentations with Junebug my most productive by far. 

I tried using B&B one time and have a bag of craws somewhere.

I like June bug over black blue, and I like okeechobee when I want  in between June bug and green pumpkin. Just thought I’d throw that in.

June bug always my first catching color in soft plastic.

It's about what the fisherman prefers.

 

I highly doubt that bass can tell the nuance.

 

Junebug is dark purple...sometimes with blue flakes.

 

The difference to the fish is simply dark vs light.

Junebug or any other soft plastic that is a form of purple . Tequilla sunrise , Bama bug , Elec Blue , Black grape...

Sometimes in the spring the bass go nuts for this.

The color of the water and its clarity determines the color of the worm.  Light green or clear water means watermelon colors.  Dark, stained or turbid water means dark worms.  Black can catch a fish anywhere at any time.  Adding color can often make your worm stand out above the rest.  June Bug is dark grape with green flakes.  Red flake is often better because everyone is throwing the same worm.  In Florida, black and blue works better in the winter months. A killer worm that is not talked about much is Christmas or June Bug with green and red flakes.  Zoom calls this June Bug Red.  I have caught bass on every color imaginable, from natural worm color to bright pink and everything in between.  What a bass sees is beyond me?

I generally have black/blue tail worm and a black/blue claw craw worm to start the day. If these don't produce I'll change to a junebug worm or a junebug/blue claw craw worm. 

 

 

I have some black blue creatures and jigs…but don’t have crazy success on them. So I prefer Junebug plastics and straight black jigs. 

I don’t know why but I can’t catch anything on black and blue. I have way better luck on green pumpkin or a pepper craw color. 

For soft plastics without a doubt junebug but a blue fleck worm is a great in between color.

I think it matters more to fisherman than it does to the fish. With that in mind, black and blue or straight black are DEFINITELY better than junebug. ?
