Larry Nixon is back!

I just read an article that Larry Nixon is fishing the upcoming Elites under one of the legend slots.  Nixon was a phenomenal angler and I expect he still is.  Nixon alone is cause to follow the Elite series.  To give you an idea of the respect he has garnered, Roland Martin was asked how to find fish in an event and he responded he would follow Larry Nixon.  I bet Catt has fished against Nixon.

I'm not much on exceptions for anyone. That said, Larry Nixon is a legend and I'm glad that he's back.

I met and talked with Larry Nixon once...I remember he was adamant about using a straight shank hook for a plastic worm.

He's not wrong about that. I use VMC's regular flippin hooks for worms, snelled. Not the HD's, those are heavier wire. Very few get away.

The tail end of his career over laps with KVD beginning to shine. At the time, he had claimed the most in purse winnings, over a million dollars.

For me bass fishing was the Hemphill Gang. Tommy Martin, Larry Nixon, Harold Allen and David Wharton.  If one can have a handful of Bass anglers to look up too it was these guys. Having Nixon back in the spot light is special.

Well, my uncle speaking on his love life said he was too old to cut the mustard but he still like to roll around in the patch. ?

The original Hemphill Hill Gang

Tommy Martin, Larry Nixon, Harold Allen, John Torian and Jon Hall.

Larry Nixon was the first angler to reach $1,000,000 in career earnings.

I learned a thing or two about worm fishing from

Mr. Nixon.

I'll never get it. I use EWG for everything and almost nothing gets away from them. Maybe I'm just so bad that it works. Not even being sarcastic. We've all seen so many people say they lose fish on EWG. Literally couldn't even force that to be my experience.
