People that run through red traffic lights. People that put their vehicle in the crosswalk while waiting for signal to turn green. People that pull up too far in the left turn lane that they can't see the signal to go. Municipalities that refuse to enforce traffic laws, then ask for more property taxes. Gambling commercials. Drug commercials. Flo. Geico gekko.  i gotta stop...

Well, that is a touchy one for me. I have a handicap permit. I don't use it all the time, but on my bad days, I really need to use a handicap spot. To look at me or to watch me walk a short distance i

Stuff rolling around in the car - I once thought I had a ball joint going bad. Turned out to just be a baseball under the driver seat that would thunk randomly as you stopped. It was kind of under the seat rails and you could feel it in the frame.

poor traffic etiquette and people who run red lights. I have my 15-yo looking both ways before crossing if he’s front of the line at lights. It’s a little terrifying.

Can't think of too many but bad drivers and bass boats gunning it to stop within a cast distance away from me in a kayak are both fairly annoying to me.

I have a few...........

I get agitated with people on BR that ask a question then proceed to argue with the answers they get. If you already know the answer don't ask the question.

Hate left lane hogs. Move over & let traffic go by.

Dislike people that are terribly indecisive. Make up your mind & go with it.

Don't crowd me. When I'm fishing give me my space & don't cut closely behind me when I might have a line trailing behind me.

That's enough for now.

I’ve got sooooo many. I’ll start with this one…..

Car passengers who put their feet up on the dashboard.

It’s not only nasty, it’s dangerous.  In a crash where the air bag deploys you are 100% guaranteed 2 broken ankles if not legs.  Even if they don’t deploy you’ve got a 80% chance of the same injuries.

Most of mine are on the water.

People who don’t get their stuff ready before they block the launch ramp.

People who don’t know the rules about towing tubes and warning flags.

People who can’t load there boat and get off the ramp out of other’s way.

I got a good one for you...

Down here in Florida the unique way the St. Johns river flows north along the eastern side the state for 300 miles created a situation where central Florida  guys from the middle of the state drive their big boats to the coast and go do their offshore fishing trip all day and then when returning home they have to drive west across the St. Johns river.

So what a number of these guys do is stop off at boats ramps on the way home at the river and back their big old boats down into the water to do nothing more than flush them out. So they clog up the boat ramps for 10 or 15, 20 minutes or more. And could not care less about anyone else.

People are on the water waiting to get out, and people are lined up on shore waiting to get in.

It has gotten very heated out there sometimes and police are called on those guys who do this.

Now that's a peeve! But yeah, I agree with you. Boat etiquette is gone.

I came up with one that related to recent comments about the ramp.

When people launch their boat, and then tie it up to the dock right IN the access point while they go park.  Even when there's big signs right there that say "load/unload zone only, no parking"

I have been thinking about it, and I figure I can sum up my pet peeves in one word.....

PEOPLE.    Not all, but indeed most. It is possible I should have been a hermit.

If they did that at certain places around here someone would open a can of whop ass.

I am offended by your offensiveness.

You being a former sailor, I’m sure you could teach me some new things. 😁

My pet peeves that come to mind people who look like they just got out of bed and decided to go out in public. Pajamas, slippers, etc. I’m all for being comfortable especially if you’re just doing a quick run to the store, but SpongeBob slippers, and dinosaur pajama pants three sizes too big aren’t a good look especially if you’re older than 8.

People who work retail that don’t have people skills. You give me my order, I say thank you, and you say absolutely nothing. It wouldn’t kill you to say you’re welcome or you’re welcome, have a good day. If you hate your job that much, get a job making SpongeBob slippers.

Here's one I run across occasionally.  You are pulling up to a stoplight and the car in front of you is leaving three or four car lengths between them and the next car, which keeps you from pulling into a lane next to them to turn, pass, etc.  As they pull up, you are finally able to go around them and what are they doing?  Staring at their cellphone!

Mine is people who talk to you on speaker and don’t tell you another person is listening. If I say something or ask a question and someone else answers, it really bugs me

Google experts. It amazes me that because they read it on Google it's 100% truth. I usually ignore them but the one's that argue, parse words, proclaim themselves experts at everything, irritate me.

People that wear their f’ing pajama bottoms and house shoes (fuzzy or not) out in public. Also, gals wearing spandex bottoms that shouldn’t. Same thing goes for guys. Folks if you ain’t got the body for it, DONT WEAR IT!

How about some widespread fish mishandling leading to their deaths? This is an important pet peeve.

People who flip fish into the boat and let them touch the boat by way of flopping around in boat. Or, people who bank fish and drag fish up on shore letting them flop around in the dirt, grass and leaves. Or, people who use nets to land a bass. Or people who touch the bass on the body in some way. Or, put bass into live wells where the fish beat themselves up against the boat.

We are killing the fish! There are photos posted all over this forum "showing off" the bass they caught laying on shore. This should not be happening in my opinion. Another fish on the way to its grave.

And people think by releasing it alive all is well. It isn't. When the Slime coat is removed and fish is released bass back into the water alive, they are instantly attacked by germs, parasites, and who knows what else. Bass can develop sores, infections on their bodies where we removed the slime by our mishandling of bass. This can lead directly to death of the fish while we stroll away thinking and believing we released a live fish that is OK. Its not.

"A bass' slime coat, a protective layer of mucus, is crucial for its health and survival. It acts as a barrier against infections, parasites, and other external stressors, and helps regulate the fish's water balance. Improper handling, like touching a bass with dry hands or placing it on a dry surface, can damage or remove this slime coat, making the fish more vulnerable to illness."

All bass fisher people should learn to handle bass correctly. All tournaments should ban bass touching a boat (flopping around in boats) and ban nets and live well use. In my opinion they have a duty to protect the fish. Some are not.

Bass should only be landed by lipping them carefully. Weigh fish where caught and release back to where caught instantly. No putting fish in live wells and removing them from their home area.

In my opinion, if anyone on planet has a responsibility to land and handle fish correctly it should be tournaments and fishing organizations.

It bothers me to watch others mishandle fish. Especially so called professionals. If I see any professional bass fishermen on TV in tournaments mishandling a fish, they instantly lose a fan and earn a critic.
